My neighbors are headed to Disney in a few weeks, June 28-July 4. They have asked us to join them for a few days the first weekend. Our crew includes me and my 4 year old daughter, who is friends with their 2 daughters, 4 and 7. My wife is 7 months pregnant she will stay at home with my other daughter, whos 2.

My question is do you guys think it is worth headin down this time of year with a free place to stay and old hopper passes from previous trips. I am worried about the crowds, not so much the heat. We are from South Carolina and it gets pretty hot here as well. Is it too crowded the last week of June or not?

Thanks in advance,
Cboy

I think you said the magic word...FREE! A free place to stay and old passes to use and friends for your daughter to play with...hmmm....let me see.....YES! I would definitely go as long as your wife is in good health and doesn't mind staying home and you can get home quickly if you need to. I wouldn't want to "commando style" the parks in the heat but it would be fun to go and enjoy the parks some, the pool, friends, etc. If you are good friends and would enjoy being with them that sounds like a fun trip.

Enjoy!

I agree! Even though I don't desire to go in the summertime- I don't think I could pass up a Free place to stay and no ticket cost!!! I would just be prepared- know that it will be hot and crowded. I went the first week in August when I was 12 and have sworn since that I would never return in the summer! But, if it were the only time we could go or if it were free- I'd definitely give it another try! I think it will be fun if you know what to expect and you don't set your expectations too high!
Have a great time- your daughter will enjoy being with her friends!
BTW- as the above poster stated- only if your wife is doing well and you could get home in an emergency!

I would hold off for more information on the summer crowds. Places to stay and passes may not expire, but when you get in a 2 hour line, you might. :( Just my opinion.

But if everyone held off going during the busy times, then the off-season would be packed! :)

Carolina Boy,

It'll be probably be hot and crowded, but if you can go without being a commando, I'd make the trip to spend time with your 4-year-old. It'll give your wife time to spend with the youngest, while you spend some special time with the oldest. I think both would like the special attention knowing that a new baby is due in a couple of months. Use Fast Pass, take breaks and drink plenty of water.
