We are doing DHS on 9/16 and we are trying to decide whether or not to book the FDP at Mama Melrose. We have never eaten there before and we have never done a FDP. We are going to have a 1 year old and a 4 month old in our party so it would be nice to no have to stand in line for Fantasmic. We are going to have several people with us that have never seen Fantasmic however, and I have heard that the reserved section is not the greatest. We aren't really that excited about Mama Melrose due to the very mixed reviews.

We don't really care for any of the TS restaurants at DHS and could probably keep our DDP credit for that day and use it towards Mickey's Back Yard BBQ instead.

Too many decisions. Opinions?

I'm not a fan of the dinner package for two reasons:
1. You need to eat dinner way to early for my families tastes.
2. The seating isn't great.

However, things have changed so much with Fantasmic on a limited viewing schedule that if you don't mind eating early it might be worth it. Remember, you don't have to sit in the reserved section so if it isn't that crowded (for some unknown reason) you can join the regular queues and take your chances.

As for Mama Melrose, we have only eaten there once and we enjoyed our meal a lot.

When did they start limiting Fantasmic? I have seen it twice and neither time had to wait in line for more than about 1 hour to get center section. That may have been before they started only doing it a couple times a week though.
