To Express Pass or Not?

I will be goin to Universal the last week of Sept. solo & was wondering if i should purchase the express pass or would i be ok w just goin thru the single riders queues. I know that not all the rides have them. Also, does any1 know about how long the wait times are for single riders?

I'd say definitely get the EP. It is so nice to be able to walk right on to everything. There is no way to tell how long single rider lines take, sometimes they are incredibly fast, other times family members in the regular line have beat me on to something. It is all random. Personally I feel uncomfortable in regular lines by myself. I don't want to stand there for an hour alone. I guess that is personal preference but once you go EP you never go back.

Don't buy it ahead of time......you may not need it.

Single rider time is usually a lot shorter.........we go through Forbidden Journey several times using single rider.......made a big difference when the queue was long too. We have never waited longer than a regular queue with it.

Wait till you get to the park and see if you do need it or not, but single rider is great if you choose not to buy EP.

no guarantees......

the EP price can change as it is based on estimated crowd levels.
it is checked and adjusted on some occassions.
holidays, christmas, etc are the only times i have noticed an increase on the purchase site for ep's.


if you buy the EP in advance and the price increases, you do not pay any increase.

if the price for EP decreases, you do not receive any refunds.


wait until you are in the park, as they are date and park related and no refunds.

if you buy the ep in advance and it storms that day in the park, you will not have line waits.
money down the drain.

I did one day without express pass and never again will I do that! Express pass is awesome and worth it. We stay onsite to get the benefit. I love being able to ride the rides with short or no waits. So fun!
