Always felt funny about it, that it was just for kids. But bought my first pair last year and loved them--some fancy vintage-looking Minnie ones! Just shy of 50 years old, I found my inner child!!!
We love wearing our ears! On our last trip we got Minnie and Mickey ears with our names on the back. We don't wear them all the time, but we think it's fun to wear them. I think I want to get a new pair this summer.
I have a pair of maleficent mickey ears that I love to wear on my trips. It's the headband type ears. My only complaint is that it does hurt my head after awhile, so sometimes I take them off for a bit. I love wearing ears, though!
I wore custom Tangled ears from Etsy almost every day on our trip! When I wasn't wearing them I had either my Merida crown or a Disney bow. I saw just as many adults as kids with ears and character hats on!
I plan to get R2D2 ears next year at Star Wars Weekends, so that DS and I will have matching ears. They may get hot, so I don't know if I will wear them all day. If you can get the kind that collapse/fold, then do it. The R2D2 ears are a pain, because they don't fold down at all without messing up the hat.
One thing to keep in mind is that the ears can push your height up. So, you previously may not have been blocking people's view, but with the ears, you might now. Especially watch out for kids. Think of Fletch: 6'8" tall but 7' with the affro
I don't wear mine often because I don't like having anything on my head, but have worn them from time to time. DH wears his pretty much every day in the parks.
I have sparky Minnie Ears and I am 47. I may not wear them every day in the parks, but I do love to wear them on my MK days, for sure. So, I wear them about half my trip. Sometimes the headband gets annoying, or I'd probably wear them even more.
I love my ears and I wear a different pair every park day!! I have...many But I only wear the headband-type ears, the other ones don't stay on my head, and I look terrible in them anyways haha
That's awesome, everyone! I've never really worn ears on any of our trips before, but I'm thinking this might be the trip to change that!! My daughter has a really cool pair she said I can take to wear but I might have to invest in some of my own, seeing that I have 2 trips this year!!
No ears for us, but all types of people wear them so go for it if makes you happy! Young, old, big, small, it doesn't matter...you see a little of everything at Disney World (some bad, LOL) including fanny packs or butt cheeks hanging out of the bottom of someone's shorts. A little of everything.
