To Community Leaders

Yesterday I requested that I wanted to step down as a community leader CL_MouseTyme.

Today when I logged in. I have been informed that I can no longer use my character name of MouseTyme. So be careful if you want to step down as a leader. VMK will take away your whole name.

I have written a letter to vmk asking why I have to give up my whole name. I know they can just drop the CL_ before my character name. I do not want to change my name and also go back to Guest123456. While VMK decides if they like my new name. (Which I wouldn't like at all anyway)

Of course I expect a canned reply. In heaven knows how many days or weeks.

Thanks for the information about that. I can't understand what is wrong with using MouseTyme? I'm sorry to hear we're losing a good leader, but will look forward to still seeing you in the game!

Thank you tigress for the kind word. Yesterday I was asked to trade my seagull for herbie. and said no ty. this person got very upset to say the least.

Then I was in another room and the person said "Eat ###" At my age I do not need this crap. And being a leader is no big thing. I can help people without the title. Apparently some believe that a leader has a target on there head.

I just wanted to let other leaders know that they could loose their character name completely. I just want to be MouseTyme again

That really stinks! I don't know what I would do if I weren't GreenieMimi anymore! I LOVE her! I hope VMK reconsiders and lets you keep your original character's name. The other CL's who have stepped down still have their original names. Maybe they made a mistake?

its sad you lost your name i seen you come into the one room as guest, which made me think at first you was a rich newbie XD till you said you was mouse.

I find it hard to belive disney is so lazy as to just take the CL off, but instead just toke your whole name and make you pick a new one. I thought of joining as a CL, but i seen the problems your having now and some probems CL have and it seems its just a pain to be one. i seen some getting harrassed or followed by beggers. 0_o i just dont have the patience for it.

Two things:

1) the VMK doesn't necessarily take away your entire name; CL_LeanaSpin became LeanaSpin when she asked to step down

2) there is no way to test this, but conceivably there is another character out there who chose MouseTyme as a name, after you became CL, and so the name is no longer available. After people become CL, it is possible to request the previous name with a new character (although I don't honestly know whether those names get approved).

Yes you could probably just use MouseTyme like spin did, as Jeanjoe stated above, if you could use it the first time than why shouldn't you be aloud to use it the second time?

And if you can't be MouseTyme, how about MouseThyme...fairly close and pronounced the same.

MouseTyme, I'm sorry that this has happened to you. Be's thoughts on the subject make sense, though. Someone else must be plan old MouseTyme now. I sure hope you can make a small tweak to it or find another name that you love just as well.

We need to get MouseTyme and BlueSomebody together for some posting adjustment counseling! Really, he seems like a cute kid, and is just trying to get to five hundred posts in a hurry. Jelly, couldn't we just give him a thread of his own and let him post away until he hits his goal? Sorry, this is off-topic, I know.

I have never been much of a talker. (although my kids learned that when I am upset, I talk alot lol err I should say babble) I enjoy reading posts and visiting many boards.

MouseTyme, that SO describes me, even the part about your kids! I have found myself posting more often here on the VMK side of the DIS, though. I had so many questions when I started to play the game...that probably accounts for about a hundred of my posts!

We'll have to get together on VMK and see which of us can win the prize for 'So-Not-The-Life-Of-The-Party'!

I've been expecting them to take away my name any time now; since no one is allowed to say it in the game, even I can't say my own name.

It comes out cat.### everytime.

Funny thing is- it passed right off the bat, I didn't even have to wait for them to change me from Guest#whatever to cat.herder. I didn't even know that people were waiting on having their names approved until I joined DIS.
