To Cirque, or not to Cirque...

I think my mom would enjoy seeing Cirque in DTD. She has always loved watching them on TV and (I don't think) has ever seen a live show. DH and I saw the show when we went for our HM. I enjoyed it, but it's not something that I'd miss if I never saw it again. Also, I don't know what night we would do it, since Monday would be the best and there are no shows on Monday. DH and my brother would definitely NOT want to go, and I seem to remember travel and show taking up pretty much an entire evening. What do you think? Also, anyone know how much tickets run?

We have tickets to see Cirque next weekend. I haven't seen La Nouba but
we have been to other Cirque productions, which we found to be amazing. If Monday is your best day and they're not performing, then I would forget making yourself crazy and trying to schedule it. We got the best prices at ticketmaster.com. I find Cirque to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the show lasts 90 minutes. So, if you're staying on site, you can take a bus to DD
and plan on around 2 and a half hours for the whole event.

First the facts.

You can get more info at http://www.cirquedusoleil.com

There are no shows on Sundays or Mondays.
There are also no shows on the following dates:
May 21-June 5; July 30-August 1; September 17-25; November 19-21.
Tickets are sold 6 months in advance.
There are 2 shows a day - 6pm & 9pm.
Prices are $61, $77, & $95 not including tax. I don't know if there are any discounts available.

I can't remember if you said when you were going to be there, but the dates with no shows might make up your mind for you.

Now, my opinion. I love the LaNouba show. I've seen a couple of other of the traveling shows and I have watched many of them on television. By far my favorite is the LaNouba show and there is nothing like seeing it live. Watching it on television does not compare. This is, of course, is just my opinion - I know this kind of thing is not for everyone. But, if your mother enjoys watching them on television I think she would love to see it live. On the other hand, sometimes there is just not enough time to do everything you would like. If something can be easily rearranged then go for it. If it is just too complicated to change your plans around to include the show then just keep it in mind for your next trip. Remember this is vacation - don't stress yourself out.
