To change resorts or not?

We are currently booked at the Poly pool/marina view for $4775. With the new RO offer that came out today, we can book a TPV at CT for $3816 or Outer building CL at the GF for $4000. We have stayed at the Poly previously and loved the grounds and food options. We weren't thrilled with our room/view but we booked standard. I'm torn between switching to either GF or CT. I don't like the themeing of CT, it seems like a standard hotel which I'd have to walk far for the pool. But I don't know if we'll take advantage of the CL offerings at GF.

If a non-CL option was available for GF- I'd switch no questions asked.

I'd love opinions and experiences on either resort and what you would do. Money isn't the deciding factor for us, would we LOVE to pay less than what we currently have? Absolutely! But at the end of the day, this is a big trip celebrating my 30th and our 10 year anniversary so I just want to be at a resort I enjoy.

Thoughts?

Ok, so I've never stayed at any of your choices (DH & I are BWI lovers) but if money isn't your deciding factor I'd stick w/ what you already have booked since you love the grounds, etc. But if you wanted to save a few bucks I'd switch to CL at the GF, great dining options all around there & money left over to put toward something else (maybe a long weekend somewhere else at a diff time of year?) Whatever you chose Happy B'day & Have a Happy Anniversary:flower1:

Thank you so much! I'm leaning that way :-)

I really do not understand your GF issue? Even is you do not use CL, aren't you still saving $775 vs your POLY reservation??
Our family loves GF and not a big fan of POLY so for us it would be an easy decision:)

Well, when you put it like that...haha.

Plus CL you can get the 90 day fastpasses for the extra $50 a day, can use your savings to get some hard to snag fastpasses.

but even if fastpasses arent a necessity CL at GF for cheaper than Poly seems like the way to go to me!

I'd go GF, like you the CL wouldn't be a draw for me but saving money is saving money. I'm not a fan of CR, like you (again) I just don't like the way it looks. I've stayed at all three, oddly enough CL at CR that we got upgraded to. I wasn't impressed and certainly wouldn't pay for CL.

For me it would be absolutely CL at GF. When we stayed CL at BWI they even gave me things like bottled Evian to take to the room every night. And we'd always stop in for a cookie or pastry while on the way to the parks. Even if you don't take 'complete' advantage of CL, saving the 775 and having the option is worth it to me.

Stayed at CR last big trip, and while the monorail is cool, the hotel was 'too boring hotel not enough Disney' for me. Since you liked your last stay at Poly so much, I assume you'd be the same way. The fireworks view at CR would be cool I suppose, and it does save you money that can be spent elsewhere.

Given your three options my first is CL-GF, second TPV-CR, and third stay at Poly.
