to change resorts or not to change resorts....

We're loyal BLT people...... but with the newness of GF dvc were considering changing to a 1br to there instead for our next trip...... eeek. It's a difficult decision for us!!!
What would you do??

Since GF only has one bathroom and blt has 2 bathrooms in their one bedroom I would stay with blt hands down. Now the one thing we have been doing is staying at a different dvc location for our first night of each vacation so we get a taste and a feel for something different... this way if we hate it we know not ti waste an entire week. If we like it we know it's safe to book for a week during another trip. So I would spend my first night at GF to get a taste and if you like it then book an entire week the next time.

If VGF was available for the dates I was looking at, I might book that to give it a try...it's the only east coast DVC resort we haven't tried yet.

If you can live with 1 bathroom I would pick VGF!

Well, first of all how long is the trip? If it's 6 nights or longer, this is a perfect example of the type of split stay I used to do. Stay the first night in a resort I want to "try out", then stay at my "tried and true" for the rest of the trip. Then, if I like the first resort, I can always stay there next time, and if I don't like it, it's only one night, and you have BLT to look forward to. The only caveat is that that first night, I don't go to parks, just hang around and get a feel for the resort. Don't do it any more only because I've stayed at every on-property DVC I wanted to try.

Try it, you may like it and you'll never know if you stay at BLT. You know you'll be back next year and many more, right?

Go for it!

Doing a split stay can be a good way to try a place out especially if you really are looking forward to your BLT, but I would recommend at least 2 nights so you can settle in and have a full day at the resort.

Right! !! Forgot about the 1 bathroom thing..... If it were just hubby DS and I, it would he fine but we do have one additional traveler with us..... I fully believe in as much privacy as possible.
I think we will stay with BLT then try GF next time!!

GFV takes a whole bunch more points for a stay there than any other resort. If you have the points to burn, stay there.
