I will be going to WDW for 1st time w/12yo son. We have ps's at
Boma(b), the plaza(d),coral reef(l), o'hanas(d). Trying to get one at Rainforest Cafe. Since we are giong 3rd wk in june, weather is a factor (too hot to eat)
I am just now finding out about meal vouchers, having read quite a few posts here. Now I am confused as to whether it would be an advantage for me to get vouchers or not. When it's hot we tend to eat late, even w/ our ps's I am not completely sure which restaurants take them...or which ones to get. We will be staying at the CBR, and I see they take them. Should I just buy some for breakfast and dinner....or should I just try the ones for counter serv.???
Can someone make suggestions for just the two of us???

Pleeez Help:confused:

If you go to the main thread at the top of ht budget board you can find out pretty much all you need to know. It's at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=435889

You can go over to http://allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm and check out the various menus to see if it would be beneficial for you to get vouchers.

I am debating on getting some as well for our upcoming trip but we usually don't eat that much, especially since it is so hot in July, and we do all our sit down meals in the evening. It really comes down to where you plan to eat. You will at least usually break even using vouchers.

Like you said, it's going to be hot and it will affect your appetites.

You will not need vouchers for any of the PSs that you already have because they are either dinners (VKLs are for lunch hours only), or they are not participating restaurants. You would just break even using vouchers for the breakfast at Boma's.

If you get a RFC PS, you might want to consider getting one VKL and splitting it between you and your DS. Check the menu in the link that Jamieb provided to see if it would be something that you would be willing to do and if it would save you any money.

If you want to use the Q&C vouchers, think about the amount of food that they provide and whether this would be valuable to you. You will break even on costs by using them in most of the places inside of the parks.

Places like Beaches & Cream (inside the Beach Club Resort) or The Pepper Market (inside the Coronado Springs Resort) are a great value but you have to go out of your way to get to them unless you're staying at those resorts.

The June park hours have been posted on the Disney.com website already and you should have an idea of which parks you will be doing on what days. Check the second post in the
Everything You Wanted to Know About Connections Meal Vouchers Thread
at the top of the page. The better value restaurants are marked with an '*'. The best values are marked with a "**". By checking the menus for those places and knowing where you'll be at meal times, you should be able to decide for yourself whether the Q&Cs are worth ordering for you and your DS.

Hi!
We snacked at AK and after the parade bolted to the special exit for the Rain Forest Cafe. We took the advice of a fellow Disboard member by ordering the burgers and fries, the meal and atmosphere caped off the AK visit. Also a little R+R before going to MK to finish the day.
