To bring or not to bring....

From what I understand, the "crib" that we will get at OKW will be a Pack and Play, which is fine....DS should be pretty good about sleeping in is as we have one at home that he naps in.

My question is - I was planning on brining my own linens for the Pack and Play, BUT do you think that I should just bring my own Pack and Play? I have a duffel back big enough for it to fit in and I had no problems weight wise with it when I packed it to go to Boston.....

Are the Pack and Plays clean? Would you bring your own?

I would bring the linens but not the pack n play. The sheets provided don't fit that well. We just wipe the pack n play down before we use it.

I was wondering the same thing...we're driving down, and originally planned on bringing our pack and play. DH thinks we should just bring the sheets we have for it. Due to how much I'll probably pack, that most likely will be what we do. If we have a lot of extra room (yeah right)...I think I'd just bring mine, but we'll see. Would like to hear others opinions on this.

We just got back from OKW. The pak-n-plays looked fine to me. I think they give you toddler sheets though so they don't fit perfectly. We brought a couple of blankets and wrapped them around the bottom piece. Thought it might help him sleep better if he had his blankets from home. What type room will you be in? Just asking because, this may sound crazy, but the laundrey rooms in the 2-bedroom at OKW are quite big. So, we put his crib in there since he goes to bed earlier than my other two. This worked nicely and we didn't have to worry about waking him up if we had to go to the bathroom or whatever.

Hi!

I wouldn't bring a pack n' play but I would definitely bring your own linen. Have fun :wizard:

That is so funny cause my husband said we should do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad it worked out and now I can tell him he is right YIKES :rotfl2:

Hey there...

We just returned yesterday from a week at Pop with our 14 month old daughter. After much deliberation, I did bring our own pack and play and my husband and I were both happy that we did. My daughter moves around a lot while she sleeps and there is just too much cloth in a pack and play for me to clean adequately enough for me to be comfortable with. I know a lot of people seem to think that the pack and plays are in good shape, but I really wanted to minimize as much icky germ exposure as possible. The last thing that I would want is a sick baby when I'm on a vacation in a hotel a thousand miles from home.

My mom had a duffel bag that the pack and play fit perfectly into. It was not much of a hassle at all.

We've used Pack N Plays at both OKW and AKL. They were in good shape and they had Disney sheets that fit perfectly. We brought Lysol (or Clorox?) wipes and really cleaned it before putting DS in it. We also brought our own sheet, which we placed right over the Disney one.

If you're flying, forget it. You'll have enough to deal with at the airport without the Pack-N-Play. I was pleased with the quality of the one we got at the All Stars. DO bring your sheets, though.

If you're driving, have room for it, and especially if you're staying in motels on the road, I'd bring your own.
