Are there any rides that a large individual won't be able to ride on? A person in our group is of the large stature and I don't want to have him get embarrassed by getting on the ride and then find that the bar/belt won't fit. He won't be going on any of the roller coasters (maybe Barnstormer??) - does anyone know if there are any rides that we should avoid?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

My husband nad I are shapes like Baloo and Pooh...:p

He rode everything with no problem...We had to get seperate seats on some but that's because he needs to keep his leg straight because he has really bad knees and hips...

He's 6'2" and over 350lbs and I'm 5'10" and a size 26 but I won't tell you my weight...

The only ride we did not do was barnstormer but we even did Dumbo...The only ride he could not do was at Seaworld...Kraken. I could not have fit comfortably either.

Disney is really size friendly. Go to www.wdwig.com and look up Walt Disney World at Large and it has lots of info...

The only things that a larger family member of ours(aprox 5'6" & roughly 300+lbs) could not go on was the Barnstormer and the Astrorbiter.

I am a big girl too, also a size 26. I find that I have more trouble with an airplane seatbelt than I do at WDW.

LOL!!!! It is my husband that I am talking about in this thread - his nickname at an old job used to be Baloo!!! I haven't ever thought about it again until now - Thanks for this information - he wants to be able to enjoy the trip with our DD (4 in November) and is worried about not being able to ride anything.
:D

I have to say, that is one of the many greatest things about Disney. I am plus sized but have never-ever had a problem. Makes it that much more enjoyable. On my first visit I too was worried about the same things.

I'm "poohsized" and 6' tall, and had no probs with the bars or belts, just leg room, lol!!! I got so many bruises and bumps, and a LOT of cramps on rides from not being able to straighten my legs. Mostly I had probs with Splash and BTMRR, the others I was ok with.

One that folks don't think about is the front of the 3 seats on Space Mountain does not have much leg room. Over 6' tall folks have thier knees in thier faces.:o

Hey, I'm a short fat guy and I didn't have any problems getting onto any rides. Maybe the occasional hurry-up with the seat belts but that was it.
