I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful company you have and how pleased my family was with the services of FL Tours! :sunny:

Our family of five arrived at the airport behind schedule on the evening of July 16th. We were a little nervous that our limo (which was a complete surprise for our three adult children) would not be waiting for us. We need not worry. ;)

The look on our children's faces when they saw our driver, Michael, standing at the bottom of the escalator and holding a sign with our name on it (spelled correctly at that), was priceless. I only wish I could have taken a picture. They were grinning from end to end and still had no idea we were going to be riding off in a stretch limo (they thought we were renting the dreaded mini van .)

We signaled to Michael that we were indeed the "H" family and we all introduced ourselves. Michael took us over to the baggage terminal and hooked us up with a porter. He then told us he would be outside waiting in a certain area for us. This appears to be airport regulation. After getting our luggage, we went outside and there stood Michael in front of a brand new looking sparkling white stretch limo. My children started giggling with laughter! He held the door open for us all to get inside the cool air conditioned, dark leather surfaced seating areas. He then stuck his head in and pointed out that we had cold soft drinks, bottled water, ice, glasses and napkins. Also showed us the radio, TV and intercom controls. :jester:

The inside of the limo was just as beautiful as the outside. Fiber optic lights twinkled all the over the interior of the limo that night and really made our trip feel magical. All but one of our suitcases (11 in all) fit in the trunk. Michael placed one up front with him.

Michael stopped by a 24 hour grocery store on the way to the hotel. My husband and two children ran in and out and off we went to the Portofino Bay Resort and Universal (which was another surprise for the children.)

One of my daughters noticed the sun roof and asked Michael if she could stick her head out like she had seen in the movies. He told her that it was the law to keep the sunroof locked because of a tragic accident that happened elsewhere (in California I think). A passenger was killed. I was glad he wouldn't let her perform that stunt while moving but he did say later that an arrangement could be made for a photo opt if the limo was not moving. We didn't want to cause any trouble and forgot to ask him about the next leg of our trip. BTW, for each leg of our trip, we told the children that we would not be having the limo again and that we would be taking hotel/cruise shuttles. It was fun each time we would come outside and there Michael would be again.

My 23 year old commented that it was too bad there was no liquor. :teeth: I don't know if Michael heard that comment or what, but when he came to pick us up for our leg to the cruise port, there was a bottle of Champaign on ice...compliments of FL Tours.
We had just eaten breakfast and didn't much feel like Champaign, so we took it along with us on the cruise to enjoy later. Thank you Andy!

Let me back up a bit...When Michael delivered us at the hotel, he gave my husband the option of paying him then or waiting until the end of our 4 leg trip. He then said that he would be our driver for the entire trip. We went ahead and paid him up front. We were very happy that Michael would continue to be with us. He is such a nice man.

We had a message from Andy on our machine at Portofino confirming our pick up for the next morning. Once again, Michael was right on time. He made us feel so special. What a relaxing ride to the port and to be able to drive up right in front of the cruise terminal with everyone watching us get out was very exciting. Once again, Michael arranged for a porter to take our bags. We had an original pick up time for 9:00 am from the port. I asked if we could possibly be picked up at 8:30 instead and Michael said "no problem!" Sorry that we caused you to miss 30 minutes of sleep, Michael. We said goodbye to Michael for a week.

After disembarkation from our ship, Michael was waiting for us on schedule. We were so thrilled to see him again. We were whisked away from the port and on our way to the Caribbean Beach resort for one more day of fun at Magic Kingdom (also a surprise.) :earsboy:

The following morning was very sad indeed as we were ending our vacation. However, seeing Michael's grinning, smiling face while holding the door open for us in front of the Caribbean beach Resort reception area, made the day brighter. We all had our sun glasses on and ducked into the limo while several vacationers looked on. We felt like VIP. :smooth: The ride to the airport was very comfortable with access to iced beverages once again as on all the legs of the trip. Before we were ready, we arrived at the airport and said our goodbyes. I must have taken four or five pictures of Michael and the limo as we were headed toward the baggage check-in area. Tears were in all of our eyes as we waved goodbye. :wave2:

My husband says that hiring the limo was the best money he has ever spent and we will never again rent the "mini van" again.

When we asked our children last night what their favorite part of our trip was...they all agreed that the limo rides won hands down over the theme parks and the cruise! Next time, we will just let them ride around Orlando all week with Michael while we vacation on the cruise ship.

Thank you once again Andy and Michael for giving us quality service and helping to make our vacation so special. What great sponsors the DIS board has! ;)

sounds like you had a fantastic experience
glad you enjoyed your trip

just kind of curious though, as to why the limo driver didn't get your luggage himself from the baggage claim..... when we took southern elegance limo the driver waited at the baggage claim with us and grabbed as many bags as he could and took us to the outside curb- he then went and got the limo and loaded all the bags
i wouldn't have wanted to tip the porter and then turn around and have to tip the limo driver??

isn't it great to splurge sometimes and get a limo- its the only way to travel:teeth:

We knew ahead of time that the limo would not be able to park for long because of extra airline parking fee's, and regulations. Our driver had a spot he could park in for a certain amount of time.

Our baggage really took a long time to come off the plane and onto the conveyor belt, so Michael set us up with a great porter and gave him instructions on where to bring us before he left for his limo. We didn't mind at all and were prepared to tip the porter. Michael did help us with our luggage for the rest of the trip. Even so, we still had to tip porters at both hotels and at the pier. We estimated that we spent more on tips for the entire trip(Michael got extra at the end also) than we spent on the ship and island excursions (not counting the initial cost of the cruise.)

Thanks so much for your wonderfully detailed review of FL Tours. We'll be doing business with them soon, in about two weeks. I'm extremely excited and having been reading excellent reviews of their service quite a bit lately. The limo is also a surprise for our boys. They're ages 10, 12 and 15 and I can't wait to see their mouths drop open when they see that they're riding to the Beach Club Resort in style and then onto the HRH for a surprise trip to Universal.:teeth:

You are quite welcome! I just wish that Andy and Michael would fly out to Vancouver and then follow us to Honolulu in September/October so they could chauffer us around. My husband and I along with my parents will be cruising then and we plan to get limo's again based on our great experience.

I am excited for you. :teeth: Have fun!

familyof14,
Wow!
Thank you for taking the time to post such a wonderful comment on your experience with our company. We were only doing our job to which you have paid us for. On a personal level, I wanted to tell you how I was truly touched by your warm thoughts. I will be sure that this comment would be read not only by Michael who was your driver but by all current and future FL TOURS drivers.
Sincerely,
Andy

You are quite welcome and please tell Michael "hello" for us!

Seriously, do you have any connections with Limo's in Honolulu, HI? Are you a member of a limo association or something where you could get a name of a company for us?

We are going to be using FL Tours next week. It's nice to hear such a good review. My kids are younger (9,5 & 3) and they don't know about it. We were watching our friends kids so they could go out for their anniversary. They came by to pick up their kids in a limo. My kids asked me when can we ride in a limo? I'm excited because the day we are getting picked up is our 10th anniversary:D It will be a great way to start our fun filled day!

Familyof14,
I wish we were. We are member of local chapter that operates only on state level.

mirlow,
Please let me know when you’re arriving at andy@fltours.com so we can keep it surprise

Andy - That's alright...I think we found someone.
I hope it is OK with you if I post my review on my CRUISE message board? Lot's of cruisers going in and out of Orlando that frequent the board.

mirlow - Do let Andy know your secrets. We forgot to mention it to Andy and our kids got hints here and there from Michael and the porters, but it didn't matter because they were still surprised with each leg of our trip.

I love reading all this positive feedback on FL Tours! I will be using them in 2005. Going with my Mom, my bro, and his 2 DD's, 18 and 6. Everyone thinks were taking a van---but I'm surprising them with a FL Tours limo! 1st trip to WDW for DB and his girls.

Thanks for sharing your upbeat review of FL Tours. :)
We have never used a towncar service before and because of it's sponsership of the Dis Boards we choose to use FL Tours. Although we will be using the luxury van I look forward to the the type of service you have described.::yes::
We are very excited about our WDW vacation and using FL Tours :cool1:

After reading this post, I just had to comment on how happy we too were with service from FL Tours! We honeymooned at WDW in October and were thrilled with the company. We will be visiting again in November and will definitely be using FL Tours!

OK, Andy!

I have posted a review and recommendation on the Cruise Critic board about FL TOURS.
