FYI
Disney is selling their 1971 red Monorail pilot's car on Disney auctions starting May 27th. Does anyone have deep pockets, or should we take up a collection? And if one won the auction...
where exactly would you put it?

if a pin is about $5 - $10 for shipping thru Disney auctions, could you imagine how much they will charge to drop the monorail off in New York!!

Thousands I'm sure!!

It might be cheaper to build monorail tracks from FL to NY than pay the shipping cost. Somehow I don't think it would fit in a UPS truck.

If we all chip in and build tracks from NE to Florida.......how many DIS folks do you think we can squeeze in at a shot? I think sitting on the floor would have to be permissable.....

They are asking from $3,000 for West Coast delivery to $5,000 for East Coast delivery, for a Mr. Toad Ride car and going by that I am guessing around $50,000 -$100000 in shipping for the monorail.

YEP you just confirmed it......I think building our own tracks would be cheaper......
Don't you hear the music.........."I've been working on the railroad......" everyone grab a hammer......."whistle while you work........"

Now that's something that wouldn't get lost in the mail! ;)

I'm just trying to figure out where I will put it (and how I will pay for it!)

If you can afford your own monorail, doesn't it stand to reason you can afford to build your own monorail track from home to work? :D
