To all the Camera experts out there. Advice needed please.

Were heading to DL in 3 weeks and Id like to buy a new digital camera but I have no idea what is good and what isnt. My budget is $200.00 (I know thats not much but hey Im going to DL in 3 weeks yay!) and Id like something that is rather easy to use and takes a good variety of pictures such as in the dark and outside, inside etc. 8 megapixels or higher is preffered and since it will be used at DL small and compact would be great. What does everyone use? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I just got a Canon SD1100 and i really like it. It's small and takes great pictures. It's $169 on amazon. My mom and sister also have this camera and they like it a lot too.

Cannon is an excellent brand and our new cannon powershot takes pics very well...it can also take movies. It takes the SD memory card. We also got a compact printer so that we can print up pics each night we go back to the hotel so we can add them to DS's autograph/photo album.

So far I like both printer and camera

The Canon A590 Powershot 8 MP is supposed to be a very good one. Sells for under $150 at many places. Check steves-digicams.com for reviews.
