To all "old" folks: Help me pick Favorite Songs of the 70's

What about:

England Dan and John Ford Coley - I'd really love to see you tonight
Little River Band - Cool Change
Rupert Holmes - The Pina Colada song
Bertie Higgins - Key Largo

(Some of these may be the 80s. I may have my decades mixed up!)

I have my decades mixed up too. It's pretty bad when I can't remember if something was from the 60's...70's...or 80's...

Drift Away and Cool Change were two of my favorites

Galahad, It has taken days. Everytime I think I have remembered all there is to remember I'll think of another band. Eagles, Doobies, Bread, Moody Blues, Bachman Turner Overdrive, ELO, Queen, Boston, Kansas, ABBA...

There have been several mentioned on this thread that I totally forgot about.

Lanshark, I searched and searched for Leo Sayer's " When I need You". On Napster i found Barry Manilow's version of it and it fills the void.

Some others to possibly add to your list:
I Just Want To Be Your Everything - Andy Gibb
Shadow Dancing - Andy Gibb
Undercover Angel - Alan O'Day
Love Will Keep Us Together - Captain and Tenniell (sp?)
Beth - Kiss
I Want You To Want Me - Cheap Trick
Boogie Fever - Silvers
The Hustle
Car Wash - Rose Royce
Shannon - Henry Gross

I may be sappy, but I always liked
seasons in the sun
The night Chicago dies
Major Tom
yellow Brick road
sweet Caroline

I may be off a little on my dates.....

Our prom theme . . . "The Long and Winding Road" by the Beatles.

Ah, the memories.

The theme for our Junior year was "We May Never Pass This Way Again" by Seals and Crofts, I think.

How about "Summer Breeze", another from Seals and Crofts?

And I'll always think of "Angie" by the Rolling Stones when I think of 1974, my sophomore year . . .
