If anyone has done the QS dining plan Did you think it was enough food? or Did you still have to spend money on OOP stuff? We dont eat a ton, my DH has a good appetite but me and my DS just regular appetites I guess. I am thinking of dropping the TS plan to save at least $250.(budget is tight this trip), but if on the QS plan we still spend a bunch OOP it might not be worth it. Thanks for any opinions!

We just returned Oct. 6 from Pop Century and had upgraded to the tableservice plan~we left behind 4 quick service credits and 3 snacks!

We've done two other trips with quick service and it was MORE than enough food and my DH is a Big Eater lol :) There is a lot of variety in the quick service places if you research their menus:goodvibes

We will absolutely go back to the quick service dining plan for next trip and make one special tableservice reservation (usually Le Cellier or 50's Prime Time)

Remember you'll also save $ on the gratuities that you'd be paying for tableservice;)

The quick service plan was more than enough food for us. We were each sharing part of our meals with our toddler and we still were full, and I would consider all of us good eaters.

We paid for two meals out of pocket, Kona Cafe and Rainforest Cafe, but that was because we had nine full days in the parks, but only stayed on site for seven nights. We also bought a Make Your Own Treat at Goofy's Candy Company, but that was just because I really wanted to, not because we were hungry or didn't have enough credits.

It was harder than I had thought it would be to use all our snack credits. I actually broke down once and used one for a bottle of water, which I had said I would never do.

Hi! We tried the QSDP last year and it was great-we had 3 adults and 3 kids-and we all LOVE to eat! We actually ended up having 2 CS meals left and giving them away. It was plenty of food, there are great CS options all over-there really is more than just burgers, chicken nuggets and fries. We only paid OOP for one meal at T-Rex-this was a pre-planned, budgeted choice.

We went for the regular DDP this upcoming trip b/c of FD, and my younger sister is coming with us and I wanted to show her an extra good time-but really from now on I think we will opt for the QSDP-I think it's a fantastic deal for our family and how we eat.

If going to the QSDP is going to save your vacation, or really help with your budget, go for it! I was a little apprehensive at first, but it was a great decision, plus you don't have to make any of those pesky ADR's-it really opens up a lot of choices for you and gives you the freedom to dine when you want to!

Good luck, have fun!

We are thinking of doing this next year ourselves, for reason

Dh and I have lost a lot of weight and feel it is alot of food (now we do)

we go during F&W everyyear and love trying the food, but sometimes just to full

we stay a week prior to staying on property at timeshare so we will hit our favorites and pay oop for them then.

their really is some good CS choices out there, I could eat a WPE every day and be happy.

and of course the saving is fantastic too

We were on the QSDP for 14 nights (stayed at POP), and we had 17 CS left over, and over 40 snacks...this after we started ordering more meals/snacks just to use them up. We ended up getting a whack load of stuff to bring home. My teenage sons (who didn't come with us) were thrilled!!!

We ate everything from nuggets, lasagna, quesadillas, salmon, shrimp platters, shrimp lo mein, chicken alfredo, pizza, ribs, chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf, shwarma platters, to plain old fries.

More than enough choices...and more than enough food.

Would choose it again for sure...especially when it's free....and no tip to pay!!!

We will be doing the free QS when we go in 2 weeks.:woohoo: I know we'll have plenty to choose from. I still booked 3 of our fave TS restaurants for lunch, Tusker House, Primetime and LTT which I plan to pay OOP. We will be doing 3 evening EMH and plan to use some of the extra QS credits there and also for breakfast.

I agree! Plenty of food, we found it to be seeming more than the regular plan, as we generally share the CS meals so we can try more places. We love the choices, and never had one burger! :goodvibes
