? To All Moms, Do You Do Laundry At Dw?

Every vacation I've been on I've always done laundry. This will be our 2yr old first WD vacation, so I'm sure I'll be during laundry at some point. One good tip on got reading this forum is use those small snack zip lock bags and put a scoop of detergent in each bag and bring your own quarters because from what I've been told it can be expensive between buying detergent and washing/drying.

The only time I've done laundry at Disney was 2 years ago when there was record breaking cold weather. I didn't bring enough warm clothes

I also do laundry at WDW. The first few times we went, I way overpacked!!! Then I started doing a load, midway in the trip. That seemed to work very well. When we aren't staying in a DVC resort, I do laundry at bed-time. No one is in the laundry room at that time. And I can just sit and read my book in peace. When we stay at a DVC resort, I love having a w/d in the unit. Makes things really simple. Dh loves to do laundry, so he has a ball there. When we have stayed in a studio, I try to go to the laundry room mid-day and haven't found a lot of people there. Then I just go out to the pool. I try to do laundry on the 4th or 5th day of our trip, since we usually go for 9 days. That way I only have to pack 5 changes of clothes for us.

We stayed at BWV on our past trip. I did laundry, and it was so nice to come home with all clean clothes. I could just pack them away instead of having all that laundry to do

Every year we drive down to Florida, every year I pack to much and I say, "Next year, I'm not bringing so much!" Every year I end up bringing the same amount of clothes!

I hate doing laundry on a normal day, let alone, doing laundry on vacation. I was just curious what all the other mom's do. I have 3 kids, ages, 7, 4, and 1.
There is also my dh, who is like another kid, always spills something on himself!

I don't do laundry on vacation.. :snooty: LOL! But my dh is an early riser and he HATES bringing home dirty laundry, so once or twice during out stay he'll be up at 6:00 and at throwing a couple loads of wash. If we stay in a villa then I have no problem throwing a load in at night. :teeth:

I've always done laundry on vacation...don't know what it is, but between my husband and son, they each wear about 3 outfits a day and if I didn't do laundry, they'd all be walking around nude!

Just kidding of course. I don't mind doing laundry once a visit...usually on our rest day while we're at the pool we'll put the laundry in. I like to have fresh clean clothes and I do try and pack a little less if I plan on a laundry day while on vacation.

When we go away for a week at a beach house in NJ, we end up doing laundry every day with the bathing suits, towels and mess...it's just a given.
