TL early morning or late aft? Advice?

We're going Easter Week, so it will be crowded. TL hours are 9-7 that week. We'd like to go to Typhoon Lagoon and spend 3-4 hours there. Either we'll get there before opening at 9 and stay til about 1, or we'll go around 3 and stay til closing. Any advice on which would be the least crowded?

Also, any advice on which way to head (left, right) when coming in the gate to get a seat, preferrably in the shade? This would be if we came during the morning, b/c I assume we won't be able to find seats at 3. We don't plan on messing with lockers. We also won't be in the little kiddie area.

Go in the afternoon. When we where there last the park emptied out around 3 and by 4 you can walk on anything. Especially if they are open til 7 that would be my suggestion.


If you are looking for a shaded area in the morning go right. And keep going pass the BAR. The walk way goes toward the snorkling area and there are a couple different cut out areas along the Wave pool that you can sit at. Most people stop at the front of the wave pool and dont venture around to the side.

Here's my two cents...We always get there right at or just before opening. This way you get in, get your chairs and get a prime sun location. It will not be as sunny when you're there from 3-7, so it may be a little elss crowded, but I prefer the warmth and sun earlier in the day.
Also, if you show up right at opening you don't have to worry about the park reaching capactity before you can get in--this will be nice since the new water coaster should be open by the time you are there and will likely draw big crowds.
We always stick to the right when we go in. When you turn right and go past the lockers down by the wave pool, we tuck ourselves in by the trees on the beach and find plenty of shade there if we need it. Also, there are more reclining chairs there than on the left...at least in my experience.

I wasnt sure if we should do Sun morn or Mon afternoon and decided that Sun morn would be better (even though there are more Floridians on wknds)

Thanks everyone. We're fair skinned so I think afternoon will be better (if we can get in). We have a car, so I think we'll try to go after 3 on Thurs and if we can't get in we'll go early morning on Fri. And we'll remember to go right after we get in.
