Happy Monday everyone! I have been trying to get on here forever! See that we had a slow weekend....hope everyone was enjoying good weather and great times. It is nasty hot here---high 80s and really muggy.

Welcome back Wendy! Hope you talk to DS soon, and DD is just adorable! Betcha can't wait to hug them both.

Mmm....I love crab rangoon too. I have yet to meet a cream cheese product I don't like though!

My family has discovered seafood buffet Fridays at the local racino. They do a great job of keeping it stocked with crab legs and shrimp cocktail. Yum!

Well, both my sister and older nephew made it home this weekend. I don't think my nephew told his parents he was with me until Saturday night when I dropped him off in MY NEW CAR! Yes, we have taken advantage of the clunker law and traded in Mom's hurting old pathfinder (we would have never gotten more than 3G for that!) and got a Santa Fe. The temple of the Kitty that some of you met will go to my mother (she's afraid to drive a new car) and I'm sporting a sweet ride!

I also found out that I'll be going to the Phils in November. There's a pan-Asian conference that I'll be attending plus I'll join a medical mission that will be providing basic medical care to remote villages in the mountains. I was able to tag on some more free time and score a fantastic fare. Its all so exciting! I'll get to see my family for the holidays---the Philippines starts celebrating Christmas as soon as the months end in "-ber" and get to see the status of the new house....

Don't forget to see my humiliation on Millionaire tonight! I don't know if you'll be able to see it, but I'm wearing Mickey Head earrings!

Hey everyone! Today is going so slow for some reason.

Sukie did make it home. She gave me a call about 8:00pm to let me know that she was home. Once we got all the sad stuff out of the way she told me a little about her trip. I told her that she will need to come on here and tell you all about it.

Magi, I am on pins and needles waiting to see you on TV tonight!

racetrack: I told my Mom that you are looking into going on a cruise and I told her that she would need to fill you in on her trip. I can tell you that she Loved it!

Well, I suppose I should go do something.

Hello everyone!!!! It's hot, hot, hot here. It's about darn freakin time too. I love this weather.

Yep, we are thinking a cruise for next year.....late, late next year. And we are seriously considering DCL. And as of right now, my dad and stepmom are going to go. Dad's always wanted to take a cruise, one of his lifelong dreams, so as soon as he heard stepmom and I discussing it, he said to her "let's go with them". I've always wanted to take a vacation with my dad and the grandkids and it looks like we might finally.

Magikitty, DD13 has her alarm set on her phone for 7:55pm to remind us to watch tonight. You're gonna have a bunch of guys in Kentucky watching too since I have to call Curt later and remind him. We can't wait to watch. Congrats on the new ride and the upcoming trip. Busy, busy woman when you are away from here.

Pikester, I feel so bad for you. You can't catch a break at all, can you? Tell Sukie I'm thinking about her. And she can fill me on her cruise when she's ready. No rush, I'm not going anywhere.

Oh Pikester, it doesn't rain for you does it, it monsoons!!! You poor thing! I did the exact same thing you did, about 10 years ago. DH was surprisingly calm about it too, and laughed at me when he came home later!

Talk about stupid things we've done. When I left for Scotland, I put all my unneeded cards in a bowl on the counter, under some other stuff. When I came home Saturday, I put them back in my wallet--store cards, additonal credit card, etc. I saw a green TD bank card that said VISA, and thought, oh my new ATM card (my bank recently switched from Commerce to TDBank,and from blue to green). OK, so I put that in too, and figured I may as well shred the old card (the one I had taken to Scotland). Card shredded, I went on my merry way.

Fast forward to today. I realize I need cash, so while I am at Walgreens, I hit the ATM. It will not take the card. Says "unable to process" or something like that. DRAT! So since I have checks to deposit, i head to the bank. I try the card in the ATM there, and it gives me the choice of 3 checking accounts, but doesn't identify which is which. And I only have TWO checking accounts (one was for Longaberger, I haven't closed it yet). I tried all 3 accounts they offered, and they all said "invalid account". So I go in, CASH my checks so I have some $$, and head to Customer Service. I explained my problem, showed my ID, and handed him the green card. He looks at it and says...



wait for it...



"uh, ma'am? this is a GIFT card!"

Well DUH! No wonder it wouldn't work in the ATMs!!!!! Fortunately, he was able to make me a new ATM card on the spot. And guess what? It's green! Now I will be really confused!!!

MK I can't wait to watch Millionaire tonite! Even my mom and her friend are gonna watch it! How cool that you have a brand new car! Did you recreate the Temple of the Kitty in there? Or is Mom driving that now? And are we all going to the Phils with you in November? Oooooh, another trip for all of us!! BTW, who gets us next???

Hot sticky weather here too. Got lots of rain this weekend and no complaints here. See...summer will finally arrive and then the kids will be going back to school.
Have you noticed that I haven't started counting down the days til school starts - YET.

Hey Guys!

Just landed from NYC. We had a FANSTATIC time. The weather was wonderful-so nice to get out of the heat! Our feet still hurt but DD, DM, and I did tons of things. I really hope that if ya'll go in Spring we can come too.

We LOVED the Hotel Belvedere. The people there were friendly. The location was fantastic. If we all decide to go then I really think you should choose this as a hotel! It is so close to Everything!
We walked to everything close-Times Sq and Rockefeller Center, Piers and then took the subway to the Museum on Saturday and then Downtown to Orchard Street for the Sunday Fair and the Tenement Museum.

The production of Little Mermaid was wonderful and DD got autographs from the cast at the stage door. She was in tears and you know that means I was too.

We went to Juniors on Shubert Alley and had a great dinner(lunch for you guys) and I bought a cookbook. Hale loves cheescake!-We now have the secret to The Best cheesecake and can't wait to try them out.

DH is now kinda sorry he missed this trip but I am glad that DD can take him there if ever he decides to go-which I think will be soon.

Bopsmom, you picked well. We always go to Juniors before/after a show. Perfect location, huge cups of coffee, clean bathrooms and of course, the CHEESECAKE! Glad you loved the city. I think its one of the best places on earth. I teared up a little bit thinking of your DD getting so excited to see the cast.
