DS and DH's birthdays are this month and then DD13 is next month. Today is also SIL's birthday. I have no idea what to get anyone. SIL doesn't get a gift unless you count the fact I didn't yell at her today for going gambling again. I figured it was her birthday so I would be nice.

The score: closet 2, Bobbie 1. The closet went nuts again. The stuff doesn't fall in there, it gets spit out! I'm not going to let it get away with this...went to Home Depot again and got reinforcements (literally). I'm getting better at this too, I managed to take everything out, put the new equipment in there and get everything back in, in time for me to get on the couch!

BF and I are fighting...about the Hershey trip! I tried to bring it up with him yesterday and he snapped at me, so I snapped back. We're not talking at the moment, although I wanted to. He just texted me, so I guess we're on the road to recovery. But goodness! I hate it when he just shuts down and doesn't even listen to me...

My DD just informed me that WDW is not the best park in the world. Disneyland is. So there you have it. Not just my biased opinion but the wisdom of a 9 year old.
I have been working on adding a new installment on my trip report all day. I made the mistake of watching DH's video and realized I could capture some more photos so it's back to editing and uploading before I can finish.

Kitty, I had a phase when I bought a pair of different color shoes to go with practically everything in my closet. Turns out that most of them never end up getting worn. Most of them are uncomfortable! You never know that until you get them home and wear them out somewhere. Right now I have a big pile thrown out in the middle of my closet that I need to go through and clear out. Your Imelda secret is safe with us! Good job staying after the closet! Don't give up!
My cat used to try to climb into the laundry but she would do it when I opened the dryer door since I fold my laundry straight from there. I quit letting her do that when a friend of mine accidentally turned the dryer on with her cat inside. I think if I recall correctly that it did not kill her cat but the cat was never quite the same.
My son is pretty responsible. When it comes to guns I don't think you can ever go overboard on safety precautions. My ex's sister almost blew her hand off while cleaning a gun and she had been around guns all her life. That is 2 people that I have known after this latest incident with my friend's son. I don't want to know anyone else who has a gun accident!

No flat surface is safe from me....

DL55, you are too funny! We have the same problem at our house. I wish I had never had a counter made by the front door. It is the first place that everyone piles their junk. The main problem is that no one ever comes back to remove anything so the pile just continues to grow until I finally give in and do something about it.
I hope everyone made it okay today after the big trip to the VET!

Oh, Wendy, I am so sorry about Duke. Hopefully it won't take him too long to adjust to his loss of vision.
Oh boy! The sweet 16 party sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun! I better take notes. Mine will be 16 before I even know it! 6 years to go but that will pass so fast.

JOCAmom, that's a lot of birthdays! Rough on the pocketbook but gets em all over with at once. Ours kinda fall like that but we do ours in twos. 2 in May, 2 in July and 2 in December. We have one stray in August but it is at the first of the month so it is almost like having it in July too.

I'm taking stuff out of the closet...I have hooks that you can hang about 5 hangers down from it so it doesn't take up as much space. Trying to organize by what I can and cannot wear...hopefully filling a bag to give away. No way do I need all these clothes now.
I guess I have too many shoes too. I have a hard time finding some to fit me so I get several colors. I did get rid of duplicate ones I wore to work. But I'm making a mess of the bed! I'm on lunch break so had better get to it or I won't have a place to sleep tonight. I know I'm going to be sidetracked soon! I already did my Wii Fit but I could bowl some...no---CLOSET....

There are caverns? DH loves caves! I think I just have to find pretty places to camp and hike. If I let him bring his clubs he can try out new golf courses. That makes the trip longer though as that takes up half the day.
I figure Missouri should have something about the expansion west as it was the starting point for wagon trains. After that I'm not sure which way to go.

The trip to the vet went as expected. I hope my cat bite doesn't get infected. Kitty got to go for a ride in a plexiglass cage. They sedated her for her check up. They think she has a hyperthyroid. Means more pills. Waiting for the test results.

Afternoon everyone! Its sunny out, and that has improved my mood considerably. Also, BF and I are on decent terms at the moment. We talked last night, but he didn't bring up the disagreement, so I didn't either. But, if anything, he knows how tenacious I am and should buckle up for another discussion about Hershey. Regardless, I know I'm going to have a good time!

You go M&N! From personal experience, the worst part is the point of no return. There's so much stuff out of the closet and all around, you must continue. But that's the apex of the battle, and once you get into a groove, it gets better. What also helped me (and what took me such a long time) was trying lots of things on. Stuff that I thought was really cute just didn't feel right, or needed to be tailored (something I know I'll never do) was donated. And knowing that its all going to have a good home really helped my mentality.

Ok, so I'm not completely pile free, but most things are batched together and will still be tackled. I'm repurposing a lot and putting things back where they should be!

Marie, your pics are so funny. I've heard a story about kitties in the dryer too! My laundry room is downstairs and my cats are fat, so carrying the basket, I would totally know if someone was in there!

C'mon DL55....Missouri is already halfway from us! Hmm...I went to Branson once. While the town itself did nothing for me, there was this great side trip we took. Its the Precious Moments (like the figurines) center in Carthage. They have a chapel with all the stained glass is precious moments! Gorgeous.

I know there's something about Laura Ingalls Wilder out there too. I wanted to go, but didn't have the time.....

Ohio has the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Football Hall of Fame. Route 80 from there has signs for the Worst Apple Pie in the World.
