TIW question

If I purchase an annual pass in September and the purchase tiw in March, will the tiw be valid for a full 12 months even if I don't renew my annual pass?

No. Not either of those.

I am DVC and they always ask for my membership card with my TIW card. If they do the same for pass holders, I would guess they may look to see it is still valid. perhaps another passholder can verify.

My TIW is always out of sync with my AP. I have never been asked for the AP when using TIW. I have often been asked for ID when using TIW.

My understanding is TIW is good through expiration date listed on the card.

Yes. Having an AP is only a requirement to actually buy the TiW (if you don't fit another category), not for the TiW card's actual use.

12 (well, generally nearly 13) months from when you buy it.

I am DVC and they always ask for my membership card with my TIW card.

That is absolutely bizarre. Shouldn't be happening. Never happened with us.

Are you sure you're trying to use it at TIW-taking establishments? Perhaps the server is being nice and basically saying "we don't take TIW but we do have a DVC discount"?

We are DVC also and they never ask for our DVC membership card when we use TiW.

My mistake -- I was confusing this with other discounts. Only photo ID with TIW
