TIW card experience

Don't know what's up with this connection (at disney now), but I have to submit twice to get this on the boards, so if it's a dup, sorry. We have the TIW card, but Big River Grill on the BW wouldn't take it, said they are non dis restaurant. Earl of Sandwich wont either - nor will they take DVC member discount. But we used it at Yachtsman Steakhouse dinner (for 5) last night, plus the drinks and special order cake, and it already paid for itself. I hope they take it in Tepan Edo, Hollywood & Vine and Sci Fi dine in because we have adr's there. If they don't I won't bother with it again.....just our experience so far.

It is not accepted at Teppan Edo. Still it's my favorite restaurant and we eat there every visit.

We we got our card they sent us a list of restaurants that accepted it.

If you got the card, you probably got the list of places that accept it.
We always ask no matter what, but pretty much know that non-disney restaurants don't accept it.

We have even been given a hard time...especially at bar in AKL.

I have been given a hard time at Victoria Falls also (that is the only place I've had trouble with TIW), I am assuming from the situation because they are reluctant to summon a manager from downstairs to approve the discount. I don't go there anymore. I use the small bar outside Jiko.

Not all restaurants at WDW accept TIW. Only the ones on the official list do. Most of the restaurants that are not owned by Disney don't accept it.
