Tivo affecting t.v. quality

I know you guys with Tivo are out there somewhere. I love my Tivo but there's seriously something wrong with it. It's been affecting the color in my t.v. The t.v. looks like a black and white set. It started maybe 2 weeks ago. Some days the t.v. looks fine with full color but then most of the time there's no color at all. We hooked Tivo up to another t.v. and it's doing the same thing. Has anyone had this problem with their Tivo box?

Have you checked your connections to make sure they are on tight? Maybe the cables connecting to it are bad.

Also, make sure your default recording is set to the highest level.

That does sound like a problem with the connections.

we had a similar problem a couple of years ago (drove me nuts). ended up that our dish was loose. apparantly wind and rain over the past year or so had shaken the dish such that it was'nt sturdy on the roof. a quick tightening of the bolts and the issue cleared up.
