Title Company Call Today

Well, some of you may remember my post about waiting 40 days to clear ROFR. We got a call today from the title company, notifying us that the seller wanted to know what was taking so long. This call arrived less than 5 minutes after we received the package :) . My wife told the Lady, I'm opening the package right now. The lady was surprised and said, "OH"

The package was mailed to us on March 6 and we received it today. LOL My wife said that perhaps they emailed the seller on March 2nd. Of course, within a hour of receiving the package we went to the bank, got a cashier's check and the package was in the overnight envelop provided.

I wonder what the title agent will tell the seller ? Not the truth certainly. :confused3 Probably that.... "the buyer is putting it in the mail today." Which is not a lie. :)

As we were in ROFR for an extremely long time, I wondered if the seller was contacting Fidelity on a regular basis. I'm sure. :laughing:
 
Hi neighbor! We live right up I-59 from you! I can relate to your problem. The Title Company was supposed to email us the documents but they snail mailed them instead. After waiting several days, we started calling and found out what they had done. They emailed us the docs, we faxed the signed copies back with a wire transfer authorization and we were good to go. About 2 weeks after we closed, had the points in our account and had made a reservation, we received a package from the Title Company. It was the original package of docs! They had misspelled our address! :sad2: Moral of the story that we learned...don't assume people won't make a mistake!
 
Hi neighbor! We live right up I-59 from you! I can relate to your problem.

Well luckily we were not in a hurry at all. Good thing. :) We bought points at BLT in November and this was a 75 point contract at BWV for the Food and Wine festival or whatever. I read the whole process has been slow so we were content with the pace we were proceeding.

I almost added a 40 point at BLT as it was our same use year and would have been perfect for us. :)

Thanks, we sent the money Friday, so, it's only paperwork now.

My wife and I are having so much fun planning and learning about Disney. We would have never thought there was so much more to experience. Too Cool !!:thumbsup2
