Tiscali Broadband wait

We ordered Tiscali Broadband which should have up and running on 7th March. On checking our order progress there is a 'problem' - don't know what - and they've told us to keep checking our e-mails for updated reports (haven't had a single one) not very impressed, I wish companies wouldn't promise to keep you updated and then not do it. I wouldn't mind so much if they kept in touch. Anyone else having delays? :sad2:
 
Not having problems with them at the moment but we used tiscali for our dial up years ago and they were always awful :( I hope they've improved since then, best of luck!
 
Having an ongoing battle at the moment with Tesco Broadband - quick story: ordered broadband, promised within 2 weeks, not delivered, ordered with BT, delivered following day. Tesco now say i didn't fulfill the contract and have to pay them £77!! cancellation fee (how can i cancel something i never received) :confused3 Go take a running jump.....couldn't do without my BT Broadband now.........and Tesco are still chasing me for £77. See them in court :rotfl2:
 
Good luck to you. These big companies think they can walk all over the little guys. They promise you everything in the adverts and then don't deliver. I'm really looking forward to getting broadband so I can 'surf' during the day when I'm on my own.

Keep us posted as to how you get on.
 

We cancelled Tiscali because of all the problems we had with them. Kept promising connection and then after a month still nothing. Went with BT and we've had no problems :thumbsup2
 
It's not looking too good is it. We went with Tiscali because of the cost and no download limits, looks like we may have to have a rethink! :disrocks: :earsgirl:
 
Update - after a load of lies from Tiscali (ie yes you are connected please wait for the modem to arrive, to can't tell you when you will be connected, to you will be connected tomorrow) we've cancelled and because we cannot connect with anyone else until Ticali clear the line we've still not got broadband. :badpc: The positive thing to come out of this is that on checking that they hadn't taken any money on my credit card is I found there was a fraudulent use of my card and I've had to cancel it. If I hadn't found our yesterday it would have been another two weeks before the statement came by which time there could have been more money missing, so although Tiscali customer service is appalling I've got to thank them in a strange king of way. :rotfl2:
 
We use Tiscali - however, the only reason we still do is that we don't want the hassle of switching over to someone else.
In my opinion they are not that good overall, we have had several problems over the past few years - touch wood recently it's been a lot more stable.
 
Was happy with Tesco dial up but they did not offer broadband at the time our exchange was updated.
I went with pipex and have not had any complaints :)
 
We used to have Tiscali and had loads of problems with them. I cancelled it nearly two years ago and then last month I had a bill come through from them! When I called they insisted that we still get broadband from them so now I have the fun of sorting that out!
 
Good luck to you then Jen uk because we were given goodness how many numbers to call to cancel the order. One chap even told me to ring the number I was speaking to him on! :confused3 It was like banging your head against a brick wall.
