Rant!!!....

I've been this way for a week now. I can't figure out if its a cold or allergies. Some days I feel better and others (like today) I feel 'flu-y'. Headache, a bit sore, slight sore throat...generally under the weather.

This is probably TMI but my mucus hasn't changed color at all.

I'm just sick of feeling this way, especially with school!!! :headache:

Anyone else in the same shoes as me? :rolleyes1

My DS17 has been sick with a bad cold for the last five days. He even went to bed at 7pm on Saturday night because he felt so bad. I don't think you are alone by any means, in your misery. Hope you feel better soon!

LOL when I saw this I thought snotty in the other way, LOL, like snotty as in rude!!:rotfl:

we also have the snotties here, it seems to be slowing down though :thumbsup2

Have you tried taking an OTC daily allergy medicine? I don't have bad allergies, but I will take the generic zyrtec during the worst parts of spring because its easier (and cheaper) to take a pill than to be miserable and taking all sorts of cold medicine.

I've been snotty for about 12 days now. I get headaches at night from blowing my nose all day. I am ready to be over this.

I'm right there with ya.

I'll take an allergy pill and still have a headache and be stuffy. Then I'll try cold medicine only to get the same results.

What gives?!?!

I have been feeling this way since Saturday. Lots of pressure in ears, sneezing and a clammy, sweaty feeling.

I think many many people across the nation have it...who knows what it is.

I'm not taking anything for it; figure it'll be done with sooner (and more permanently) if I let my body work it through than if I stop the gunk from getting out! Comes and goes throughout the day, too, and I wouldn't know that if I took drugs for it.

I do, however, think it's not being helped by my house, as that's where it's the worst. I MUST get hubby to look behind the bedroom blinds, to see if there's any mold/mildew making things worse for me (I don't look there just in case there are arachnids hiding out, and so I am not too close to any mold/mildew).

Same here, but this year things have much improved since I started using the neti pot. It sounds kinda gross, but you basically are flushing out your nasal passages with warm saline water and you won't believe the amount of nasty colored stuff that comes gushing out. But afterwards, it was blissful uncluttered nasal passages for several hours. I already had one cold this season, but I got over it much faster than I usually do, so I think the neti pot has something to do with it.

This video gives you a pretty good idea of how it works, though the expressionless woman is kinda scary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8sDIbRAXlg
