Welcome aboard. You will find many good tips on a broad variety of subjects throughout these boards. Just go to the different discussion boards here and read all the posts. After that, you can post some specific questions for anything you did not find an answer to.

For August? Hmmm, how to stay cool in 95 degree heat! Carry a washcloth in a ziplock bag with crushed ice in it. It's great for putting on the back of your neck when you're about to go into meltdown mod. go slow, drink lots of water, wear a hat--so you don't get sunstroke! lots of sunscreen, get very, very comfy shoes and a bit oversized--because your feet may swell in the heat, What else? August 20, the crowds have diminished, and value season begins so there will be great rates on the Disney resorts. If you don't mind the heat, August is a fine time to go. Have a great time.

hat, sunblock, fan, water, shade and REST take it slow and keep drinking, I also like to take an afternoon swim break!:)

This is perfect for our Tips Board...:D

These are the tips i am looking for! Please keep them coming. There are 3 kids with us ages 9, 5, and 5 keep them in mind also!

Drink lots of water, not soda. Wear comfortable shoes and if you can find them wear socks that are partly wool. The wool doesn't hold the perspiration and stay wet and warm. We bought the kids inexpensive fishing type hats that they could soak with water to keep thier heads cool. Take advantage of all the misters and fans at the parks, and any counter service restaurant will give you a large cup of ice water just for the asking. Go to the parks early and take an afternoon swim break. REturn to the park after dinner when it cools down. Hope this helps. KQ:pinkbounc

Thanks for all your help !! These boards are the best!!!

Take advantage of Early Entry mornings so you can leave the parks at the hottest part of the day. Either have lunch before you leave the park or in your very cool, inviting (make sure you leave your air conditioner on in your room before you leave!) room. Take a swim, watch TV to relax in your a/c room or head for a water park. Just stay out of the heat in the middle of the day.

And take a water bottle for every member of your family and drink, drink, drink. You could pack some Kool Aide in a mini M&M container in your belly belt or back pack. Refill often at any drinking fountain. That way the kids won't bug you too much for a soda!

Oh yeah - an ice cream break (indoors so it doesn't melt so fast) is a great way to beat the heat!

Have a great trip!
