Hey all, I am just planning money-wise and am curious who all we are "supposed" to give tips to? I know that tips are not covered on the dining plan so I will have to do some when we eat, but are we supposed to give tips to the housekeeping empoyees as well? If so how much is standard per day? Anyone else I should be planning for to give tips too? Thanks so much!

We tip Mousekeeping, even when staying at one of the DVC villas. If at the hotel, where you get daily housekeeping, we usually leave $2 - $3 per day, depending on how much they "clean".

When staying at one of the DVC villas, (you don't get daily cleaning), depends on size of unit we've stayed in - from $10 - $20 for the week.

Other than wait staff at the restaurants, no other tipping that I can remember.

standard mousekeeping tip for us is 1.00/person/day. So being a family of 5 we do 5.00/day. When even continued to tip when the maid unplugged our fridge...daily! That is another story though! :rotfl:
Tipping for dinning-18-20% it is figured at the bottom of your bill. You can give cash or charge it to your KTTW card.
We also tip ME 1.00/bag and bell hops the same. We do sometimes feel that we are constantly tipping at the beginning and end of our trip! Just keep some smaller bills on hand so you aren't giving 10's or 20's away :lmao:

There is nothing that is only particular to WDW that you need to tip differently than anywhere else.

Mouskeeping, Servers, Bell Hop, Luggage Check, that pretty much sums it up.

I have also tipped an extrodinary doorman that I encountered serveral times in a trip, and a way above and beyond concierge. Both of whom refused the tips, and I don't know that they were able to keep them.

We leave $2 per day for the two of us for Mousekeeping. However, I disagree with the PP who continued to tip after her fridge was continuously unplugged. I would have called Mousekeeping and complained after the first time-- and only continued to tip if it stopped. Make sure that you put the money in an envelope that says "For Mousekeeping." If you just leave cash out, they can't/won't take it.
Besides our waitstaff, the only other person we tipped was our ME driver. We held onto our carryons and let ME pick up our luggage, so we only tipped that driver $2. However, on our way back to MCO, we weren't allowed to check one of our bags (randomly selected by Delta to be inspected) and put it on the bus. Since the driver removed it for us, we tipped her $5.
