Tips??

Hi, I have never been to any disneyland resort and our first trip will be to DLRP. Iwill be going with my husband(36) and our 4 children aged 14,12,8 and 5. We will be there for 3 days and i want to make it as memorable as possible for the whole family so would really appreciate any tips you wished you got about DLRP

Will DS aged 5 be allowed on many rides? are there a lot of restrictions on heights going onto rides? dd is 8 and a bit of dare devil but not very tall 8 y/o , actually the same with all the children, they would be short for their ages, will this stop them enjoying some of the rides/

The only real dare devil rides my daughter went on was big thunder mountain and crush coaster, she just made it on there though and she had just turned 5 the month before and I would say she is a bit smaller than average possibly around the 102cms mark

i'd suggest checking the height restrictions for the rides either on the disneylandparis website or dlrpmagic site, this will give you an idea of what they will be allowed on, and when you see the rides you and lil uns will be the best judges of whether they will be happy with them.

the younger ones will enjoy fantasy land most as this is where most of the kiddy rides are, the older ones will probably like the 'land's to wards the back of the park, so think about how you would get around each 'land' of the park, and how you want to break up your days, maybe start from the back and work your way forward to the other parts of the park, but bear in mind fantasyland gets very busy during the day, so maybe on another day you could start from fantasy land and work back.
I've only been once myself so far, but this would be my suggestion and is what i will do in april, but i'm sure others will have great suggestions also.

I remember seeing a lady at the entrance to Pirates asking what the ride was and being told by the CM it was a boat ride. She then said to her young daughter "oh a lovely little boat ride" - not quite how Id describe POC.

Do a bit of research before you go on what rides are where and what they are like - DLP magic has some good info

Have a rough idea of where you want to start otherwise you will be wandering aimlessly at first

Dont get too distracted by the shops in mainstreet when you first enter the park you can explore these later

Make the most of EMH if staying on site- you'll get loads done in this time

Make the most of FP for some rides

My DS was just turning 5 on our first visit, the only ride he wanted to do and couldn't at that point was RocknRoller coaster in the Studios Park. It'll be the bigger coasters that will be out for him, your 8 year old may be OK for most.

We will be just there 3 days and ds1 who is 12 feels this is not enough time , Will we be able to leave our bags at sequoia lodge on the first morning when we get there and go into the Parks or will we have to wait to get registered? Does this take long? Is the DLRP far from CDG airport? We arrive at airport at 9.30 a.m

Are you travelling by the VEA Navettes coach ?
That takes about an hour or you could book a private shuttle, which would probably be a little quicker or I believe if time is of the essence the TGV raillink takes about 10 minutes, we've never done it but if that's the way you want to go then there are a few members who'll be able to help you with info.

Yes you'll be able to leave you bags at the luggage storage area, official time for the rooms is around 3.30pm, but once you hit the parks you're not going to want to leave until they kick you out. 3 days should give you enough time to do everything, what days, dates are you there, weekends are busier than weekdays, school hol dates busier than mid term. I'd suggest a day in the DLRP park, a day in WDS and then the last day to redo your favourites. Are you staying in a Disney hotel ? If you are and Extra Magic Hours are available, make use of them, it makes such a difference, set the alarm for 6.30am (use the wakeup call on the telephone, it doesn't cost anything and it'll be Goofy on the other end, reminding them they've a busy day ahead, it always puts me in a good mood and raring to go ), breakfast at 7.00/7.30am and be at the park gates at 8.00am. Don't worry if you've a later breakfast slot they won't trun you away earlier and the early slots are far more pleasant as the restaurants are less busy.

Make use of the FastPasses and always get an FP for every ticket, so if the braver ones want to go on SM, twice in a row, then they can use the younger ones FP's to do it. Any more questions just ask.

Thats great, The transfers are included in the price , think its a bus?? not sure tbh. Yes we are staying in the Sequoia lodge so think we will be able to get the EMH. We will be there thursday, friday and saturday, its not holidays here (ireland) but i bellieve it may be holiday time in Paris 24th-26th April
Good idea on the FP Im a real scaredy cat but i know ds will love them all
