My daughter is a big Alice in Wonderland fan. Any tips for being first in line for teacups to ride with Alice?

Is it something a lot of people bee line for at rope drop?

I do believe it's rare when she rides and it's just about luck. You can check online and see when she comes out for meet and greets and try to get in line then to maybe be able to ride. But I wouldn't get hopes up as you'll more than likely be riding without her

I don't think I've seen alice riding in person in a long time. not that she doesn't do it, I just dont see it when I pass by.

We saw her riding with a little girl early one morning this past March... Probably right after a 9am park opening. I'm pretty sure it's just luck.

It's not something that happens commonly. You just have to be very, very lucky. The only tip I can give you is not to tell your daughter that it's even a possibility.

She's 14 so she can take it! lol! I just think it would be cool. Kids make fun of her for wearing so much Disney stuff, it would be nice for some Disney magic for her :ccat:

I saw her at Christmas I must admit even as a 45 year old it was really cute :-) I didn't even know she did this! I would ask a cast member but it was quite early in the morning. So to increase chance I would go first thing.

A few months ago, we were first in line for Alice's first M&G of the morning…about 4-5 families back was a little girl, about 6-years old, dressed in a PERFECT Alice dress…she was seriously a "mini-me" Alice. Well, it was a no-brainer that Alice immediately walked over and selected her for the first ride on the Tea Cups.

At lot of it comes down to luck. Some mornings she'll do it, and some mornings she may have been told that she can't do it that morning.
If you're first in line, or have a really cute Alice outfit that would help.
A few months back I was waiting for Alice to come out and when she did 2 adorable little girls in a stroller who were just walking through Fantasyland called out to say hi to her, super polite, no running or jumping or screaming, just called out and waved hello to her. Alice stopped to talk to them, and I knew it'd happen, she pulled them up and they went for a ride, and then did the meet and greet after, despite them not having been in line earlier. This was for her first set that day, around 9:15.

The other option, would be if you have multiple days in MK to potentially ask the character attendant, explain how much your daughter loves Alice, and that you've heard about how sometimes people get to ride with her and you were wondering how one would go about that. They might be able to help you out right then, or have you come back another day. I'm pretty tight with the Stepmother and one morning as they were walking through Fantasyland before their first set simply asked "how does one get on the carousel with you?" and she said "like this..." and dragged me & my friend off. It's all timing though, only happens before the first set most days.

Darn, I thought it was always first in line. My daughter is 14 and will not be dressed like Alice. Although, I'm sure she would want to be! She will have Alice attire, jewelry, bow and shoes on!

That is awesome! I would love to do that myself! We will be there multiple days. First time at MK is early magic hours. My daughter is older so she will understand if she does not get the opportunity but none the less I'm sure she will be disappointed. I've prepped her!

Thanks for your insight!

My kids got to ride the teacups with Alice on 6/16. We showed up that morning a little before her first meet with both kids in costume. Though we weren't first in line, Alice walked straight up to my kids as soon as she came out and asked them if they'd like to go for a ride with her. They were shocked and thrilled and it was wonderful. My only tips: get there early, stand out in some way, and don't expect anything! :)

We got lucky and were able to ride with Alice and the Mad Hatter in December. We knew this was a possibility going in, so we got there at rope drop and went right to the spot where Alice meets. We were the first in line and waited about 15 minutes before she came out. When she came out she just grabbed my girls hands and said "let's have some tea shall we" and we were escorted over to take photos and the photopass people did as well. Great experience!!

My daughter is 16 almost 17 and wears Disney stuff every day. Even her fancy clothes are Disney. Your daughter is not alone. In fact, I love my daughters tule Disney castle skirt.

If your daughter doesn't want to outright dress up in an Alice costume, has she heard of Disneybounding before? It's where you use normal clothes to create outfits that are inspired by a character. She could find a cute light blue dress (or white shorts and a light blue top) and wear a black bow in her hair, as well as any of her Alice jewelry she has! The trick is to be obvious about the character you're trying to be without it looking like a costume.

We saw you! Not on the ride but I think you were headed that way. My DDs thought the outfits were awesome and you were goals for their own kids someday. So good to see a boy in costume too, but we wondered if he was hot!
