TIPS: Star Wars Weekends 2011

I was in the park before 8am. Not a huge crowdand the cms were saying 9am opening right up to the stormtroopers starting. Got first ray parks session for 10:40. We arrived right before 6am.

Hustled to jabbas tent to grab lanyards, no line, just in and out, very easy.

Are you referring to the free lanyards for annual passholders? If yes, I thought I read that this was the first week only?

I would love if it is for all four weekends.

DHS opened at 8:00. JTA wasn't filling up as fast as last fri. Was still inside sounds dangerous guessing 10 families by 8:05. We walked on star tours 2x and now in line for ewok. They start 9:30 but line now down to ai back exit.

So is it safe to assume that it would be difficult to get a fastpass for an autograph and make it back in time to sign up for the JTA?

No because they give the autograph fps before the park opens, so you can grab the fp and then enter the park. Especially if the park is opening earlier you'll have a better chance because not everyone knows that the park has been opening early

It's only this weekend, the AP lanyards, you can always ask next weekend if they still have some

Looks like nost rides were open, except tsm.was down. It just opened a bit ago. The line was all the way down to the spraying coke bottle.

We headed for jabbas first so no clue about jta but looks like Karen had good success with that.

We've goten darth & boba done, dh is at autograph session for obiwan voice guy and Im in maul's line. The kids are on RNRC and TOT.

My DS would like to get Peter Mayhew's autgraph. It would not matter which session. He would also like to do the mind challenge and the Jedi Training.

He and I will be there for all three days. My thoughts are that Friday will be the least crowded and possibly the easiest day to accomplish all three.

This is our first year attending so I may be way out in left field.

Peter Mayhew will be one of the easiest to get this year. 1.- He has come to SWW alot (I don't know how many times) and alot of people already have things signed by him and 2.- He signs super fast, doesn't really talk alot so he gets about 75 people per session, as opposed to Ashley that takes time and talks to everyone, she only gets about 45people per session.

Ray parks the best! Just invited the kids Togo on stage foe his trip to the maul. Got wristbands, about to head over there. Lanter's got the bluest eyes... LOL!

We got there about 6:10 and were in the 3 oclock session. There were only 2 listed in the times guide, but somehow a 3rd one was added and he had a morning session. They have moved James Arnorld Taylor into the Sounds Dangerous building.

I'm not entirely sure they had decided to open the park until the last minute as they (head cm's) were telling everyone 9am up until a few minutes before it opened. There was a fairly decent size crowd at the turnstiles by 7:30.

Was able to sign both kids up for Padawan Mind Challenge without issue right after opening. Actually my 2 were the first 2 kids on the list - which shocked me. Holden and I rode ST 2 x walk on at that point. DR had gone to get TSM FP and Passholder Lanyard - met us back at Chewy. Chewbacca's line was insane by 9am. We were 3rd in line at 8:30. We finally caught Ahsoka Tano today as well.

We did split up and "forfiet" so the kids got to meet J.A.T. and Matt Lanter. Exhausting day - ready for 'Ohana tonight!

We'll be there around 6 in the morning - see you all there! MTFBWY!

Thanks for the report. We'll be there around 6am, I'll be wearing jeans and my studioscentral SWW t-shirt (white) with my Jedi Mickey Cap. DD will probably wear Her Universe t-shirt that says daddy's little girl (purple).

What do you think the chances of getting the AP lanyard are if we arrive at the park around 12 PM tomorrow? Do they typically run out that fast?
