Tomorrow morning, bright and early in 40 degree rainy weather, I'll be running a 7K. :shamrock: Looking for any tips, advice, or general words of wisdom for a newbie to running races. I've been active for awhile and I know I can do it, but would love to hear what some experienced runners have to pass along...

Bring a rain poncho or garbage bag for waiting until start. Wear it or sit on it.
Stick with your plan.
Remember to look around and enjoy your environment!

Come back and let us know how it went!

Thanks for the input. Luckily, no actual rain this morning - just a light mist about half way through the race. It was great and I felt well prepared. I've spent a lot of time reading the WISH threads over the past month and it really has inspired / helped me. Thanks to all of you who share!

Congratulations!

I'm sure that you will be enjoying more events now that your first is in the bag.

Come over to the Events/Competition side of WISH to join in the fun of discussing upcoming events and training issues.
