My boss was deployed to Afghanistan for the year and I've collected a bunch of goodies to send his way from co-workers all over New England.

I've never sent anything to a troop member. For those of you who have, can you provide me with any tips I should know.

I heard you can't send it in a big box so I have smaller ones.

Anything else I need to know?

Thank you all in advance!

The post office has flat rate boxes meant to be sent overseas (in fact, they may still have the ones meant to go to troops). This means you can load it down without having to pay a ton.

Also, make sure you are following the rules. (i.e. no naughty magazines, alcohol, etc)

Good for you for doing this!

Thanks everyone!

No naughty magazines or alcohol will be going ;) Just lots of cards, candy, wipes, magazines, and other trinkets.
