LOL - I was waiting for someone to say something like that :goodvibes

I could not think of a more magical time to be with the Mouse. Even the cold could not put me off - sad aint it :rotfl:

Do you have any tips pigby ?

Have done a few Florida trips in summer so we have the obligatory ponchos - not as much fun wearing these over all the layers in winter in DLP though.

Buy a Santa Goofy hat. The long ears will wrap round like a scarf! :goofy:

Thanks for the tips! We will be going in March. Not really sure what to expect of the weather. This is my 1st trip to DLP, so I am just happy to be going :cheer2: Your dd looks cute in the pictures :goodvibes

Thanks for all the great tips everyone! We'll def be making good use of them in March!

Quick Q's about the handwarmers:
How big are they?
Do they feel strange inside your gloves?
Can you use the hand warmers in shoes or do you have to get seperate foot warmers (same seller on eBay)?
Does anyone know what shops in the UK you can buy them from instead of using eBay?

Thanks!

I have a great tip! Snuggle up to someone you love!

We bought some from Millets, but have seen them in most outdoor shops.

Buy some hand warmers.

Ours arrived this morning - talk about fast delivery. They are just the job sjaakie. :thumbsup2

I think that one should go in the sticky useful tips section .

PS : Did a bit of retail therapy this morning before work :rotfl: and noticed Woolworths do a range of shoe insoles including a thermal fleece. They are £2.59 per pair and you cut them to fit any size shoe. Would make trainers toasty warm !!!

I made a few pictures for you.The penlight is to give you an idea of the size.

This one works with two penlight batterys and its really warm. You can use them again.

This one works by clicking on the "penny" in the middle.

And this one is very thin so you can also use them on your socks.
Just open the package,it warms up automaticly.

I agree with Sammie G - hold hands and cuddle someone you love and keep each other warm - Fancy going Sammie !!!!!

I am not recommending this as a tip to follow, but when I was tell my Grandma about all the thing we were buying to keep warm she told me that during the winter she used to wrap a few layers of newspaper round my mam's body and tie it in place with string before putting her jumper on her. She also cut out some feet shaped pieces of the newspaper and used them as insoles in their shoes/boots. My Grandma says that it used to keep you really warm.

I know that advice to, only the paper crackles when you walk and is not really comfy.
Your kind of stiff with the paper round your body.

I now have a picture in my head of everyone walking stiffly around DLP this winter crackling and wearing shower caps. :lmao:
It would definitely be a way of identifying other DISers

I just bought a load of thermals (longsleeved tops and longjohns) from Tchibo for our January trip. They are lovely and cosy. The kids have skisuits and snowboots and we all have sheepskin mitts or gloves. Lots of layers, scarves and hats and we will be toasty warm.
Last year I made the mistake of thinking it would be just a bit cold. Big mistake. I just had jeans and my bum was like an iceblock the whole time!!!!! Brrrrr.
