We will be at DLR from June 22 to June 25th. We are a family of four:dh, me, 6yo ds, 2 yo dd. I was originally planning on doing Fantasmic on the 24th, which is a grad night, but it might be really busy since WOC isn't happening. If we need to do a 9:00 Fantasmic (2yo isn't a night owl), what kind of tips do you have for me? We are used to Fantasmic at WDW. We did it at DLR once three years ago, but we did the later one b/c ds has no problem staying up late. Any and all tips are greatly apreciated b/c I am starting to stress about Fantasmic. Also, it is my ds's favorite thing about a disney trip! He even likes to listen to the Fantasmic music on my Iphone!

Also: is there a better night to see Fantasmic? We'll be there on Tuesday (we will have been up really early though), Wednesday, Thursday (grad night), and Friday.

June 24th is the last night for grad night, and on the official DL website, WoC is playing on that night. They have two shows for WoC that night.

If you want the best viewing area of the show it is right next to the railings of the roa. You will have to sit down and there is no standing in the sitting area right next to the railings. People show up at least 3+ hours for the railing sitting area and the whole viewing sitting area fills up at least one hour before the 1st show starts. If you have strollers, you will have to fold them up and put them down before the show starts or you can leave up if you sit in the back area of the sitting area. You can see in the photo that you can have a stroller or a wheel chair right next to the rope area. And definitely bring a blanket, so you can mark up your area for your entire group and some of your party can go on rides or get food while at least one person can sit down on the blanket and watch it while others of your party do other activities. This would tell people that you are saving a spot for your family.

A lot of the DISers says they would not do the long wait for the 1st show and just do the 2nd show instead of the 1st show. Since when the fireworks ends, the CM instruct the guests that watch the first F! must exit towards the Adventureland side. Sometimes people want to see F! again, (I have done this before) and the people who did not have a good view to watch F, they just move up closer for their group. Most of the people watching the fireworks from the hub come through the Frontierland area and the guests have to wait until most of the guests that watch F! have cleared the area. Some people also wait when they are in Critter Country and head over to the viewing area when everyone is moving. It's another good way to watch F! if people are not wanting to wait for hours to see the first show of F!.

Here is a photo during my trip in August and it shows the viewing area during the first show for F! This is at least 1 1/2 hours before the show starts.

I would see F! on Wednesday or Friday since Tuesday will be the last day for SoCal Select AP holders to come to DL until late August.
