I am planning a trip to WDW for my extended family which includes my sister who just texted me to say I'm going to be an aunt again!! Now I don't know how far along she is now or anything like that yet (I have a meeting in 5 min so I can't call her yet!) but figured i could stop in to type this quickly.

Does anyone have any tips? I'm assuming lots of rest... the trip is 4 months away so I'm assuming she will be in the first trimester... Lol I"m all excited! I have 3 nieces but I was pretty little (8 and 9). I thought I was the only one of my siblings that would be having kids anymore (My sisters are quite a bit older then me, the one that texted me is turning 40 in a few weeks)

Ok, my meeting was short so I know a bit more...

My sister is 5.5 weeks pregnant so she will be 5 months along when we go. Our group also includes two 60 year olds with some heart issues (one has a murmur one had a stint placed for a blockage about a month ago) so she won't be the only one that can't do some rides... Will there still be stuff she can do though? I didn't pay much attention to the restrictions when I just went with DH.

We went in March and my sister was 5 months preg. at the time and did wonderfully. She did stay off some of the rides that were recommended and we did go in for a nap/pool on some days. But all in all the trip was no different from any other. :goodvibes

I went when I was 5 months pregnant and my trip was just as magical as any other. Before I went I searched online for articles about Disney when you're pregnant and found some great tips so I knew what to expect. I could go on most everything except the obvious stuff: Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Star Tours...they tell you which rides are not recommended for expectant mothers. I found that I enjoyed shopping while my husband enjoyed the rides I couldn't go on. I did end up setting aside a little time in the middle of each day to lay down and nap. This really helped me keep my energy up in the evening when so much good stuff is going on. Honestly, this trip was the first time that I actually relaxed and took Disney at a slower pace and I found that I've enjoyed it so much more since then. It made me realize that I could have an amazing trip without running around trying to do everything. And what better place to find cute baby stuff than Disney World!
