Tips needed for a group of 21

Hi Everyone,

I have been to Disney numerous times but never in charge of 6 families, 21 people. My 180 days opens up on Monday, do I call Disney directly at 7 am to make dining ressies??? Any tips anyone can share??

I see park hours aren't up yet for my dates 3/31-4/6 will they be up before I call so that I can at least plan what parks I will be in what days>>

Yes I believe with that number in your party you have to call. Also, park hours do change so keep that in mind if you plan any PPO ADR's. Also, if you have another family member with a MDE, you can make ADR's for part of your group on one account and the other part on another account- if you choose to do any reservations yourself. If any of the members are staying on CL using their concierge to book the large party ADRs would be useful and a great way to justify the extra cost.
I would also try booking online as I wait on hold in groups of 6,7 or 8 guests and when DW's dining reservation dept gets on the line have them consolidate the reservations. I'm assuming there are multiple accounts for these families and you've been put in charge of all of them. Hope you were able to get a convention rate for this group.

They can consolidate the ADRs if there is a table large enough for 21 people that is available. There aren't many tables that large so if you are going during a busy time (e.g. close to Easter) or a popular meal time it might not be possible. Even if the phone reservation castmember is able to combine your reservations, there's no guarantee that you'll be seated at one table. It will be up to the restaurant at the time you arrive and will depend on what is available.

You will have a better chance of being seated together or at least near each other if you book at the start or near the end of the meal service (i.e. breakfast, lunch or dinner) when there are more empty tables rather than at popular times such as noon or 6 PM.
