Never been bothered by mosquitos either. I took bug spray, but i don't remember using it too much.
Heat can be a problem, but only if you let it. I always seem to go at the hottest times of the year. Here are my recommendations:
1. Don't get burned!! It makes you even hotter
2. Take water bottles and fill them up A LOT!
3. Keep dollars on hand for the ice cream salesmen!
4. Go on the inside rides between 12 and 2
5. Eat inside! It is amazing how much better you will feel after sitting down in an air conditioned cafeteria for 20 minutes and eat a good meal. It really gives you a boost to keep going.
6. save your water rides for the middle of the day. some people go on them first and then when it gets hot, they are in line for other rides.
7. ALWAYS have at least one of those water fans in your group. You can buy them at wal mart for 4.00. They are a little more in the park, but I would definitely pay for them because they make everyone a little happier. We even squirt the people around us that look a little hot. They are always very thankful. We find that people follow behind us as we are walking so they will be squirted with the extra spray. LOL
8.Bring extra socks. We even bring flip flops for wet rides. There is nothing like hot, wet, steamy feet. YUCK
9. Sometimes, we even pack washcloths in ziplocks. We get them cold in the bathroom and wash our face. It is so refreshing.
10. You can buy these neck things that look like bandanas at
walmart for around 2.00. You run them under cold water and it keeps your neck cold. We tried them last time and they really Work!!
Hope this helps!
