My daughter is going for the day with her 8th grade class. Any tips to help them see everything while they are there?

If they were smart a runner would try to get FPs. But it probably won't happen, because nobody will split off with all of the tickets.

Are the groups splitting up and meeting at the bus to go home, or meeting for lunch or a parade but free to go off the rest of the times?

Are they going to DL and DCA or just DL?

They are leaving tonight and will be there tomorrow am about 8am
They will be in "let loose" and have no meet up time until its time to go about 1030-11 pm. I have told her about a FP runner and we have done it several times on our vacations. Since she is the veteran disney goer of the group she has talked about that with her friends. They seemed to agree that it will be a good idea but then again were talking 13 and 14 year olds. Tomorrow is a MM but they will not be there early enough to take advantage of it. I put together a list of tips from this forum and explanations of fp. Im not sure if I should have them head to SM or Indy first. Also, I seem to remember that DCA plaza opens early which means soaring is open before the entire park. How early do they open?

Thanks!!

I would recommend getting the Space fastpass first then the Indy one. I'm sure you and your daughter know already, but make sure she explains to her friends that they can use their fastpasses anytime after the window opens, not just during the hour printed on the ticket.

DCA usually opens its gates at 9:30. Soarin' the ride and fastpass machine are usually running starting at 9:30.

Fast Pass all day long. Right when the time hits for them to get new FP they need to be at the FP distrubtion station for whatever ride.

Definitely grab SM FP first. It has the longest lines and runs out of FP the earliest. Also if it's really crowded on Indy they can use the Single Rider option. My DD11 and I do this quite often. Many times we even get the same vehicle.

I had a 13 y/o daughter once (& that was before tweets & texts & facebook).....good luck with them following any type of "plan". :hyper:

:tilt:

Maybe tell them that the cute guys hang out near the FP machines every 60 - 90 minutes? ;)

:cool2:

I assume she knows after one FP she can get another one 2 hours later. Though despite, if she forgets, or can't get her friend onnline with that, I'm sure she will have a great time.

I had a lot of fun at Great America in Santa Clara once and on a graduation trip after Junior High to another amusemt park. I have little doubt she will be making memories, as Disney likes to say this year.

I agree, Space Mountain first, then Indy. The lines at Thunder Mountain usually aren't that long. Lines at Buzz usually aren't long either.

Make sure they time it well (get the runner to Space first) then as soon as the time rolls around for it, get FP for Indy, etc.

If they can do without the fireeorks - that is usually a great time to hit things that they couldn't FP on - ( I can't do it though I gotta see'em ).
