Tips for my wonderful mum....

Hi there.

My DH, DD3 and I will be bringing my wonderful mum (53) to WDW in October (VB and BCV) for her first ever trip (and her first flight too!) This is a huge thank you trip for all her help and support since being blessed with Natasha (DD) and the 32 years before that too!!

We are Disney veterans and we love Dis. I have been printing certain threads for her to read. She is enjoying them very much.

So, how can you help? Please add replies for my mum. What can she expect, must-do's, hints and tips, advice. We really want this trip to be special and I know it will be........your contributions will be gratefully received. Thanks.

You must see Wishes at MK. I would also plan a character meal - my favorite is Chef Mickey's, but depending on DD and DM favorite characters, Crystal Palace is nice too.

Winnie the Pooh ride is sooo cute, and Buzz Lightyear was a blast (no pun intended). Ride all the MK classics, Peter Pan, Small World, etc.

Mostly though, just enjoy the atmosphere and each other.

My mom-il who is 60 really enjoyed Philharmagic, Wishes, and Illuminations.

She also really enjoyed World Showcase, taking the boat from POR to DTD and back. A nice walk from the BCV to Epcot is quite pleasant too.

Let her enjoy herself and the family.My mom and I went for our fisrt time each in October 2003.. We loved it.. Just take lots of pictures and do what ever she wants.. Try to get her to do everything though...

Wit.. She can skip the roller coasters as my mom did.. She stayed with DS 2 and shopped and had ice cream..


Most of all enjoy the time together...

I think a nice break would be to take the monorail over from MK to the Grand Floridian for afternoon tea:

Doesn't sound dressy at all, and you all might enjoy it. I'm trying it in 13 days with my 2 yr old son, my Mom (not, Mum - that's a flower to me!), and my mother-in-law.

My husband, son and I took my Mom and m-in-law to Disney last Nov. as a thank you for all the babysitting they do for us. Everyone had a GREAT time, even though my Mom and m-in-law don't like each other! That's why we're doing it again.

My Mom LOVED Typhoon Lagoon! I don't think I have ever heard her laugh so loud as when she was going down the raft rides. And there's a great kiddie section your daughter will love. We're going again this trip. My Mom is going on 68, so your mum is a lot younger too. Its a nice break from the parks!
