I heard it's one of the busier attractions. Does anyone know if they have a fast pass? Any suggestions? Thanks

Yes the safari does have Fastpass. I would suggest going first thing at park opening or later in the day. First thing in the morning the animals seem to be more active.

Yes, they have FP. We tend to go there first thing in the AM before it gets busy. We have seen many more animals in the savannah at this time than at any other time. this is only from our perspective, and others may have different views. While you can generally see from any seat, we prefer to get an "end" seat as you can usually get pictures w/o any one else's head in them. Hope this helps some.

Go early to the safari or right after lunch; those are really good times...and they do have a FP you can use too...and try to sit on the sides for the best pictures and if you can sit behind the driver, that rocks!

If you don't like getting "bounced around", ask for a seat in the front. The back seat is really rocky. We always do fastpass and spend the waiting time doing the walking tour next door.

I have to disagree with this. Me and my husband were in the front seat and we got knocked around pretty rough.

My best tip is to NOT sit in the last row!! We were bumped around and held on for dear life!! If you are an adult, this could be fun, but with small children, a nightmare!!

How bad is the mad dash to this first thing (8:00 opening)? We are going the week after Easter (Friday at AK), and I had thought we would do this first before our PS at Donald's at 9:30. However, if it is free for all and I can see a lot of the animals after lunch, then I may change my touring plans. That sure would save some walking.

Thanks,

Stephanie

Since it has FP, we just walk over there, don't rush, and get a FP, which allows us an easy 45 minutes or so to walk thru Pangani Forest Trail. This works out really well.

I wouldn't put it on par with the dash for Space Mountain, but people do tend to move pretty quickly towards it as soon as the rope drops. My dh and I each had a kid in a stroller, and I went into NYC mode. We were in maybe the third jeep to go out that morning.

Thanks, Brina. So do you know what time you got off the ride? My only concern is making my PS at 9:30, which is on the other side of the park.

IF there is an attendant at the fast pass kiosk ask them if there is a problem if you are late returning. We have missed our window and been told that it was okay, we could go on through. Make sure you ask though, this way, if it looks like you'll have a conflict you know you can return at your leisure after eating. The only thing is that as a previous poster said, the earlier you go through the more animals you see. We went through before 10 AM and got to see the lions, went back later like in an hour or so and they haf already moved inside. This was in October when the temps were moderate too.

We did KS the first thing on Monday morning and the last thing on Monday afternoon. We saw different animals in different spots on both trips. The Monday morning trip was very soon after park opening -- they were actually sending people in the stand-by line through the FP line to keep the line moving but it was still only about a 5-10 minute wait. The only wait for the 4:20pm trip was caused by the need to walk the length of the completely empty queuing area. We did the Pangani walk after the afternoon trip -- fairly empty again and the undivided attention of the very informative CMs working in that section.
