Tips for getting teens between parks & Windsor Hills

Our group of 13 is staying at a Windsor Hills villa in a little over three weeks. We have three teens in the group who may want to stay later at the parks than the rest of the group and/or sleep in some mornings and join us later at the parks. They will not have their own vehicle for this.

So any tips or advice on how they could best get from Windsor Hills to the parks and vice versa. Taxi? Shuttle? Better/cheaper to use WDW transport to get to one park and then take a cab from there? I read that public transportation (Lynx) stop is too far away.

We're looking for a balance of convenience and affordability, so no two-hour ordeals or $100 limo rides. :lmao:

TIA.

A cab from MK will be around $30 to $35, plus tip. From DHS it will be around $20 to $25, plus tip.

Thank you! Guessing it will be a little bit cheaper from AK, which is closest to WH.

According to taxifarefinder.com it will be around $15 to $20. Keep in mind, though, that AK much earlier than the other parks.

Disney transportation to AKL then taxi may be the best cost effective compromise.

Doh! Thanks for reminding me of that. Taxi to AK might work for in the morning but not late at night.

But, as Lewisc pointed out, they can take the bus from the park to Animal Kingdom Lodge and then take a taxi from there.

That's a tough one. Windsor Hills does have a shuttle (at least they did), but I suspect it doesn't run late night (might be good for mornings to the park). You could ask (or call) the Windsor Hills info desk and get the details.

To be honest, I'd be inclined to bite the bullet and drive back and pick them up. If they could get back to AKL, it should be pretty easy to pick them up there (or maybe even AK...I can't remember if the parking gate is blocked late, but I know its open several hours after park closing)
