Our next trip will be for our daughters 5th birthday (trip will be in April during our school vacation 2018-usually 3rd week). I know i have quite a bit of time, but i like to research and be prepared.

I am wondering if there are things that i can do to help increase our odds of getting a reservation. I know we will be able to call 180+10 for our reservation with staying at DVC. I am wondering for those who have snagged these reservations do you see better availability for certain times of days or days of the week?

We are hoping for a Tuesday evening dinner reservation or Wednesday breakfast or Lunch (this is only because we are planning a split stay and will do the deluxe dining plan for the first night)

Any help and input will be appreciated. I think this is the one and only reservation that we must get otherwise we are flexible of where we eat.

1. Input your credit card and all your info in MDE in advance so you can book quickly
2. Go on-line at 6 am, don't wait to call
3. Plan the meal for one of the last days of your trip
4. 8 am will be the hardest time to get

I think you'll be fine. BOG seems to be the hot ticket at the moment.

Thanks for the info!! I wasn't even thinking that i could get on at 6am.

That plan has failed for a lot of people lately. Lots of reports of the system failing to recognize the 180+ for those of us who are staying onsite. I and quite a few others had to wait until 7 am to call because system would not allow us to book past 180. Hopefully they will fix this problem before it is time for you to book. We were still able to get CRT. Just had to call to do so.

I think you've gotten some great advice. I would like to add that when I'm stalking ADRs, dinner CRT choices pop up much more frequently than in the past. I would be willing to bet that with your flexibility of meal times that you are going to find something that will suit your needs. BOG is the hard one to snag lately, in my experience.

Agree with all the tips given. Just to add my 2 cents.

1) If you can get someone else to help you out (i.e. husband/wife/kids), you all can log on at the same time right on 6am and search for different dates (your preferred date, your backup dates, etc)
2) Keep checking after your 180+10 days if you happen to not get the date/time you wanted, I would recommend using the TouringPlans reservation finder to help you there.

I guess everyone's experience is different, but in my situation I found CRT to be harder for my dates, I got 2 BOG for the exact times I wanted, but couldn't get CRT, but got CRT after about 2 weeks of checking
