Tips for Disney Trip with a Baby?

kmdrago1783 another thing to think about is what you will do when your baby falls asleep in the stroller. Your kids are about the same ages as mine, on our last trip my dd's were 5 and 10 months. Using the sling I was able to still go on all the rides with my older dd even though the baby was asleep. She slept in the sling with her head on my shoulder through small world, peter pan etc. then we rode everything again later when she was awake so she could see it all, but it was nice that no one had to sit out while older dd rode those rides with only one parent. If baby goes to sleep in the stroller you are kinda stuck not doing any rides until they wake up.

Course that also makes a good excuse to get to walk through stores........

Personally I'd go with the travel system stroller. Especially if your DS is a napper cause it is almost impossible to nap in an umbrella unless you have one of the bigger ones that reclines. IMO the only real reason to go with an umbrella is for folding up ease on transport, but I was always able to fold my travel system stroller up with my diaper bag still hanging on the back and to me that it made it much easier for taking on and off the busses than an umbrella would have been.

Totally agree with this. I took my daughter at 15 and 23 months, and though she never sleeps in a stroller otherwise, she totally did at Disney. We had one of the big, reclining Gracos and she was able to lie down and get a decent nap in it.

My kid was never a stroller napper, so we just took her umbrella stroller since it was easy to fold and very lightweight.

As for carriers, we used an Ergo and also a Boba, either on the front or back. With a little practice it's easy to get the kid in and out of it even without another person helping; I usually just needed a bench or something where I could sit.

Honestly, sounds like you've got things down pat with the double stroller idea. Just bring a diaper bag that you don't mind wearing and plenty of wipes/dipes. My wife had a lot of success carrying our 13mo with the Mobi wrap on our last trip.

For carriers I use moby and Tula. I love them both. They are both easy to get on with practice. The moby has great back support and it is like they are being swaddled. I use it when we go out to dinner and 90% of the time DD falls asleep.

Thanks! I think the big stroller is the winner. More convenient (inside the park) for DS and me.

DS's is a Graco Fast Action Fold stroller (although it's anything but...lol). It's bulky, but we're driving to Orlando and to the parks, so I won't have to worry about folding and unfolding it in the airports or to get on and off the busses. If I read correctly, you don't have to fold the strollers when riding the monorails, is that right? Oh, I didn't consider the parking lot trams. Can we take strollers on that?

Also, any tips to deter stroller theft? Someone made a comment on another post that stroller theft in the parks were not uncommon. My two cents: If this is true, people must be really crazy to come to WDW to steal baby strollers! Smh

I love my Moby! I used to get spa pedicures in those zero gravity chairs with DS in my Moby. He would sleep the entire time. When I'd get up, people would be amazed that a baby was "in my shirt". It's too hot for it now. When it cools off, DS will be too heavy for it. He's probably too heavy now. :(
