Tips for Digital Camera on KS?

This wil be our first time going digital while at WDW. I am concerned that on KS with it being bumpy, that my photos will not turn out very good. Any good tips to remember while taking pic on KS?

The safari is a really neat attraction. There are places that the vehicle will slow down and actually stop so there will be opportunities to take pictures then. If you have a long range zoom, be careful because you tend to get more motion the further you are trying to go. Otherwise, if you have a shutter control, set it for a fast speed.

Another tip, this happened to me and although it was a camcorder, it could also happen with a digital camera. I was getting a "moisture present" display on my screen. Due to the high humidity in Florida, moisture collected on the camcorder battery. I went nuts trying to find out where the moisture was but finally figured it out. It was as simple as wiping off the leads on the battery with a napkin or towel, shirt, pants etc.

Sit on the outsides of the vehicle benches for an unobstructed view of the animals.

The driver side will give you the best opportunity for taking pictures of the cheetahs and lions.

Telephoto lenses are very helpful and as was mentioned use as fast a shutter speed to decrease blur from vehicle motion and hand held camera shake.

Early morning may be a better time during the summer for "warmer" pictures due to a lower sun in the sky. High noon pictures tend to have a "flatter" look to them.

Edited to add that if your camera can utilize a polarizing filter, this will add nice contrast to your pictures that are taken early or late in the day.
