Just wondering if I should know anything special about Chefs De France. It's the only "event" we have planned that my 10yr old (going on 35) is excited about. Go figure. Special desserts? Things for children? Something that would make it seem especially "France" like? Thanks for any suggestions.

How about having him learn a couple of french words and then letting him try it out while at the restaurant?

That's a good idea (my 10 year old is a girl by the way- not that you had anyway of knowing that;) ) . I had thought about the portrait guy too who is usually around in the France area. Or maybe let her buy a France souviner (any perfumes that won't break the bank?)
Josierac, I noticed your post says you are a travel agent specializing in Disney - which travel agency do you work for (own?)?

The restaurant used to have a kid's menu to color (Beauty and the Beast), but you might let her loose in the shop and buy a cute French something. The lady all in white stands like a statue in front of the restaurant. You can find out what times she's there... (http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/)

Also go to the beautiful slide/film show to get the right ambiance!!!! Take photos in front of the 'French street'.

If it's during the holidays, Pere Noel tells stories and Beauty and the Beast characters are around for photos too...

hope that helps!

My daughter is 10 and a francophile too (has been taking French for many years)...
