Tips for Booking Signature Suites?

I just spent 30 min on the phone with a very kind reservations CM trying to find out current pricing and availability for the Fairytale and Mickey Mouse Penthouse Signature Suites at DLH. We were checking weekend by weekend from now until Feb 2018, then a bunch of random winter/fall dates thereafter into Dec 2018, and they both appeared to be booked the whole time. (He said they can book 399 days in advance.)

Does anyone have any recent pricing or tips on how to get these rooms? They don't have the ability to check for "next availability", and I don't really want to spend hours on the phone...but maybe that's what it takes?

I can tell you the MM Penthouse and Adventure Suite are open for Dec 22-26.... AT least they were yesterday. I just couldn't justify 20K. ($4500 a night, plus tax for 4 nights...)

The Fairytale suite is very hard to book, as it books out fast.

You will just have to sit and go date by date.

I can't honestly tell you because when we booked the MM Penthouse in 2014, we called and it was available (granted it was the first full week in November so less chance of it being booked, maybe?). At that time it was about $3,500/night.

We had also booked a 1 bed suite for our last night, and the morning we were due to check out, a member of our party asked if they had anything available to upgrade to. We ended up in the Pirates suite that night. It was priced a little higher than MM.

So, as you can see, we didn't have that problem! We also were staying during the week - not a weekend like you were looking. Any chance that a weekday trip would work for you?

Thank you both for your responses. I'll keep checking back. Weekend stays work better for our travel/work/school schedules, unfortunately. I just wish you could check availability online! And I wish you could fit 4 into the Fairytale Suite, or that they had a similarly themed family suite - my girls would love to stay there for one night, but I'd have to ditch DH. LOL.

Wait, you can't fit four into the FT Suite? I thought four was the cap.

Honestly, the MM Penthouse and PotC suites are awesome. I don't know how old your kids are, but the MM Penthouse appealed to everyone in our party (ages ranging 1 to 44). The PotC was super cool but I wouldn't recommend it for littles.

Kids are 4 and 8, and MM Penthouse is my first choice for a big splurge...if it's ever available! I just thought the FT suite would be nice since it is about the same price as a regular suite. But I have read, and was told, that FT suite is for 2, with some exceptions made for 3.

Cap is 2 in Fairytale suite. And yes. MM penthouse appeals to all age groups.

I know the FT suite was available Dec 4 but no other days that week when I checked.

Awesome pics of the MMP!

Well, I found out what the problem is after talking to a different CM today...I had answered 4 people (myself, DH, DD4 and DD8) when talking to the hotel reservations CM. So the system automatically excluded the FT suite based on the size of our party. o_O

I have found a few dates that work for the FT suite, but we can't all fit in the room (unless I snuck in an air mattress LOL). I'm having a hard time justifying the price of MMP since we still haven't gone on a Disney cruise yet, and it's about the same price! I'm considering booking FT suite as an awesome birthday surprise for DD8 since we've decided not to do a party next year. We're local AP's, so it's more about the fun and convenience of staying in the hotel than using EMH, though the VIP perks would be cool. I have to think about this a bit...but thank you all for the input!
