Planning to stay at Polynesian next Fall with sister & her family. We cannot afford the Lagoonview so booking GDV. Any tips for best building? Also any tips for how to get complimentary upgrade to Lagoonview?

The "best" building really depends on what's important to *you*!

Do you want to be really close to the pools and the Great Ceremonial House? Closer to the TTC? Or does "best" mean to feel more secluded and quiet to you?

I've stayed in locations all over the property, and they all had their own charms. I don't think there's a "best"- just different.

As far as complimentary upgrades- don't hold your breath. Book the room you'll be happy in, and expect to get what you've booked.

Our last trip to the Poly we stayed in a GV room in the Samoa Building... in room 1610 I believe. It was ground floor on the end of the building closest to the lagoon.

A direct view of the Volcano Pool and close to the GCH. We loved this room. Great atmosphere..we sat on our patio and really soaked up the "Disney Feel"!

We could walk directly out of our room and be poolside in 5 seconds.

::yes::

Good Luck!

We had a fantastic view from our room in Fiji. It was garden view, overlooking the marina. We could see the GCH, Volcano, boats, lagoon, CR, and the EWP. If you do a search under my name you might be able to find my trip pictures. Then you can see the view. :)
