Arriving on a Sunday around 10 AM (Jan 28th). We went to spend a couple of hours checking out our resort -CSR.

We have early breakfast reservations Monday AM so don't want to be out late Sunday.

What would you do with your time that Sunday afternoon? We have 2 girls, 4 and 7.

Thanks

Would you do an early character meal like Chef Mickey for dinner? If I only do 2 character meals the whole trip, would it be better to split them up - I hate to do the 2 big meals within 24 hours of arrival : )

Why not DTD? Thats usually my plan on the first day/night. You get the disney feeling but dont have to waste a half day's admission to walk around for eating or shopping.

I would do chef Mickey's on your last day so that your character meals are spread out.

Lately we have been having dinner at Chef Mickey's for our first night. That way we get to meet "the big cheese" right away and don't feel the pressure of trying to meet him during the week. (It is also easier to meet and get autographs there instead of waiting in a long line at the parks) That dinner always gets us right in the Disney mood.

Another alternative like another poster suggested would be to go to Downtown Disney. We have been doing that on the morning of our first full day (sunday).

Or arrange a light dinner at a different resort you have never been to - Kona Cafe at The Polynesian, Beaches & Cream at The Beach Club, etc. Or just hang out around the Boardwalk area.

Have fun!
