Tips at restaurants????

So I've heard that on your receipt at a restaurant they have calculated what you should leave for a tip, and if you don't leave that amount they charge it to your hotel room, or credit card that they have on file. Anyone know anything about this?!?!?!

This may be true only regarding the automatic and mandatory gratuity charged for parties of 6 or more (or Tables in Wonderland members).
